Thank you for this. I agree 100%. I think in the west (i feel especially EU...) a lot of people have never even played with a good support. It's huge. Support is not only the biggest dps in any raid, it also increases the uptime of everybody because you don't have to worry about dying. And so true, all these people saying support is boring and easy, they don't play it right.

On pally I always go in with a full meter from a stimulate. Goal is mainly to have as little downtime on my buffs as possible. Brand goal is to stay near 100% which I can comfortably keep at 95% (sword of light shoutout) and blessed aura uptime stays pretty consistent too. Pally is just very reliable even if he isnt going to provide the same level of highs as bard.

@@aerostrafe1075tbh I think pally and artist are way better. Not many people are able to keep up or align their burst windows with a good bard using 3 bubbles. With pugs, in most cases, you just want to use 2 bubble buffs which is equivalent to pally/ artist buff.

@MisoxShiru One thing that is important and people dont realise, is to prio sunsketch because its not aoe and always hits everyone also providing dmg reduction. And fill out the downtime with your sunwell not the other way around.

You can do this with PUG that don't know how to position yes. But it's better with good player to prio Sun Well combine with Drawin Orchids, you maximize the Atk.Speed Buff instead of overlapping the one from Orchids and Sun Sketch at same time. I only prioritize Sun Sketch in Brel G3 where it's impossible to Sun Well both front and back attackers at same time.

That applies if you play the attack speed tripod on sunsketch which you are right is the same as orchids but I personally play the increased dmg reduction tripod there so to not overlap. There are plenty of classes which are atkspeed capped just from yearning so you can lose value from that attack speed tripod, while the dmg reduction one gives same value to every class. But didnt think of that so ty for pointing that out.@@drumkass2524

The amount of supports that stand still casting shit in G3 Brel (Cube) is insane, they just have no yearning awareness even if you ask them to run around a bit. Having slow dps classes having to chase them is so bad so thanks for putting that at the top of the list.

I dont think ive ever once felt stressed while on paladin even in prog raid learning parties. Put me on my DB and every time I see a white surge number I feel my world ready to end.

Radiant Support is also base arround your DPS Players and arround your party and how good you can Identify Boss Patterns and see when he moves or when to use your Z Attackbuff. Also Weapon is a HUGE indicator if a Sup gets Radiant or not. Supports think "i can cheap out on weapon" but you can feel the difference in a 1585 +12 akkan Weapon vs a 1600 Akkan Weapon. It's also easyer to get Radiant if one DPS got full lvl 10s vs a "normal" guy with some lvl 9 and rest lvl 7/8. But in generell these Tips should help the average Support Players in this game.

Just one tip about your priority and reasons, since you said that hitting the boss with the shield is more important than hitting your allies because of meter generation, that's no longer true for Artist, Starry Night provides a lot of meter now so it would apply the same logic as shields according to your argument.

you should have mentioned pre placing brand and pre casting attack buff if the boss is teleporting or otherwise not attackable in advance. its what many supports dont even think about. it makes a big difference

As a bard main i ofc knew everything said in this video but is very very well made! I will try to lower the priority of healing a lil bit more. Well done hope it helps somebody when i play my dps alt ahaha

Yeah it is really frustrating when you see your bard spamming heals when the whole group is basically around 90% hp. As a support you should only ever heal if dps are out of potions or something goes horribly wrong, there is a reason we get endless amounts of HP potion boxes. But yeah easier said than done, because you have bad players that think a supports job is keeping them alive by healing and they complain if you dont heal.

as a supp main(3x1580+, one of each), i generally agree with you, however on the topic of shields, you said they are your highest meter generating skills, which is false, artist have both her tp, and the blue carp, that generates more meter than any of her shields, and bard has prelude of storm. yes shields (when you hit the boss) does give a decent amount of meter, however saying it's the most meter generating skills are just flat out wrong. otherwise pretty decent guide.

not sure if you are aware but the TP has the least meter/second, but the most burst meter generation. So miso is right in the case of artist, because hopper is the best meter/second and the best shield an artist has. Not sure about carp, dont think its played that much by the majority of players.

TP is now being used for shield to make up for the downtime of hopper, if you don't run sprinkle/stary. And it's considered one of the lower meter gen compare to hopper, tiger, carp... bc of the long CD. On Bard, yes Prelude is the highest for most builds but since the skill requires bosses to stay in place for a while, WoM can gen almost the same as Prelude sometimes. Also he didn't say shield are the absolute highest. Just in general.

This only works for statics. Pugs dont use pots because those 10g are super important apparently so you either have to heal or get jailed.....

It doesn't. Also move speed reduction can go up to level 2 without having any actual effect.

Hey! Its not a spell, its the gear set that you have, so you should be running yearning brelshaza gear or akkan. Brands are just basically percentage attack damage you have to apply on all. If you have more questions feel free to ask! I started the game a week ago and its amazing if you have a good set of people to help you out! It is gonna be a bit difficult at the moment since everyone is progressing(prog) on theamine! I love palladin

Atk buffs are about 22% damage, brand is 10%, identity is 15% damage, yearning is about 9.5%

atk buffs are not 22% dmg they are 6%flat and then 15% of the casters attack power, which doesnt equate to 22% depending on ilvl of the support its more like 10% like Miso mentioned. Basically if you keep up brand and attackpower around 90% you get noble supporter in 4 man content, thats what koreans figured out back then when the new MVP system got introduced.

Aftrr the video, a lot of delusional support players in the comment section blaming their DPS for lack of Radiant rather than working on their uptime. Remember that in a 8 man raid, there can be two radiant on the end screen and that is more indicative of support uptime rather than dps draining you for heals. Learn to balance healing and buffs and then you can get radiant more often

i almost never dislike videos, but yeee... Ur priority order is kinda bad, attack buff uptime is more important than brand uptime (brand is just a brand, attack buff usually have other buff inside the skill, like damage reduction, gives mana, shields), then shields are more importants than identity uptime, like, u shield then identity buff then shield again (Artist pov perma shield god), and tbh, yearning/damage reduction/and heals are just not a "priority", it just depends on the situations, the raids, the party classes... Heal can be first priority in some situation, that how u really play support, adapt to any situation quickly while being efficient with buff and shields. And "survive" is the most important priority that u should mention in ur priority order, nothing is more important than this.

One thing that people don't get is: in LoA, the choice between heals or dmg buffs is dependant on your team alone. DPS plays poorly and wants a dmg buffs. F you. Learn to dodge and maybe I'll give a cookie. A dead player deals no damage.
