JD being so vulnerable and open about the season he is in, crushed me. Like I’m going through a similar season just tearing me apart. Just reaching out and chasing after God. Letting go of everything and backing off from parts of ministry just to have more. More of God. He’ll never be enough, but I’ll keep on chasing him. Taking a break to make sure my heart is fully after God. That I’m seeking him in every aspect of my life. I just randomly clicked on this message, thinking it was an older sermon but man that touched my heart. This whole message. What he spoke on, it made me realize I’m not alone. It’s tough but it’s so worth it, seeking the Lord above everything. Within every aspect of my life instead of waiting for it to explode, like that recently happened to me. I didn’t care to work on it and it hit me. Yet man wow needed that as I step in a similar season of seeking the Lord through all of this.

Thank you JD for warning us to guard our hearts. This act of humility and Character in Christ spoke louder than all of your sermons in a good way

I really appreciated the message last night, I went to the service in Fort Worth. I wanted to say thank you to JD for sharing his message, it hit home with me a lot because I'm going through something very similar and have been struggling. I appreciate the message JD and it's encouraged me a lot.

It is quite striking how many people in the comments are experiencing the same as JD. I just wanted to say thank you to JD for his wisdom and authenticity. I am older and am struggling with the same - it says a lot about the true character and leadership of a person when even your seniors can look to you for an example of how to deal. Thanks to the Porch & Watermark for your support, leadership and protection for JD and Jennah. We will pray with you and are excited about the testimony that will follow the season they are entering.

What really hit home about JD’s message was how he recognized at 42:25 that his actions weren’t ‘just a slip up of an otherwise good person.’ Instead of taking sin lightly, God expects us to let him deal with the root cause that lies buried within the heart. Proverbs 28:13 “He who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy.”

JD, you are the reason I began watching the porch. I had entered into my first relationship and your "dateable" sermons popped up in my recommended. Thank you for speaking life into my life. I am going through a similar season right now, and you are helping me through this too. God has you, JD, and He will finish what he started 😊
