I second this!! I'm just a sophomore, but at the beginning of the school year last year, I told myself that I wouldn't try for theatre until I was a junior or senior. I'm so glad a bunch of opportunities showed themselves and that I gained the courage to take them. Now, I am significantly more confident, and honestly, I'm a lot happier, too. It also made me realize how much I loved theatre and film and that I would love to be a scriptwriter when I'm older :)

Biggest tips I can give as a high schooler who is almost through it: 1:Keep friends you've known for a while close to you. 2: Don't make new friends with popular kids. 3: Don't slack on too much work, don't work too hard either, it isn't worth the time unless you can do it easily without much issue. 4: Cheating is only helpful if you can memorize the material for the test. Cheating on homework is understandable cause you shouldn't be wasting precious time for a worthless grade. 5: Don't do that much after school activities. One is fine, but it should be one that doesn't attract much attention to yourself. 6: Should you become popular, don't embrace it. Shy from it, because one mistake while you are popular can ruin your reputation. 7: Always make time for yourself. We as teenagers need that because being around others is stressful most of the time. 8: DON'T HAVE A CRUSH OR GET A GIRLFRIEND/BOYFRIEND. It isn't worth it, that type of stuff never really helps, because nearly every time the two break up and end up worse off. 9: Don't get in a fight unless you know you could win, and make sure it isn't on school grounds and the person won't go yapping to the faculty or too parents. That is all my tips, I know nobody is going to see this, but if somebody does, I hope it helps :)

Literally, the best tip is that: Don't do school activities like cheerdance, basketball, cooking competition, etc. unless needed to or you wanted to. Don't over work yourself, and don't aim for the highest grade if you're expecting something in return. Aiming for the highest grade or getting it is good, but if it means overworking youself and you expecting something phenomenal in return then don't do it. Make friends you think you can be with to make yourself more comfortable to your surroundings and never ever try to be that "cool kid" 'cause it's fucking dumb and stupid.
