A good tip for when doing this is to push and feed a bit of filament through the nozzle and quickly pull back as this will stop from getting that stringing on the end you pull out.

I'm seeing the same issue on my Ender 3 Pro. The hole in the gear assembly plastic is slightly lower than the path of the filament.
