I saw a meme somewhere where it says that it's weird how swearing is considered as adult language yet childish to use at the same time

Hi Anna! As a romanian living in Oradea (Nagyvárad) I can swear in both languages! But many years ago, a professor told us that the most common Romanian swear ," Du-te-n pi*da mă-tii" is in fact a sending back to the origin to came out as a better person!

As much as I don't like to swear in my own language, I do agree that it makes you bound better with people, make the conversations less tense and make you more persuasive. I tend to use slightly less vulgar words in romanian or curse in russian.

Great work Anna, as always! :D As for the blasphemy part, I don't know about Hungarians in Transylvania, but in my birth region in mainland Hungary, we are more likely to use "A kurva Isten bassza meg" (translated as "May the wh#re God f##k you"). But the most extreme I've ever heard was from a Hungarian from slovakia, which was "Hol a kurva Isten kivert faszában voltál?" (which would be translated as "Where in the wh#re God's beaten d##k were you?", Which I have altered as "Hol a kurva élet kivert faszában voltál?" the translation of which is pretty self-explainotory :D). Thank you for the amazing work, this has cheered me up fighting depression. :) Hope you get better! Greetings from Hungary!

While this just muddies the waters, Kurva can be broken down in Hungarian to a base werb of Kur, or copulate. Kurva means "in the state of copulation" which is an apt description for a joygirl. Kurott means (screwed) and it seems to be very well fitting in with Hungary. Perhaps it even came from there, or Hungarians liked it so much they reverse engineered it.

Well... What I've noticed is that some slurs are becoming more like common curse words or at least in English Curse words were originally supposed to be "forbidden words" and that's kind of what slurs are a social taboo Because traditional curse words are quite common I've even heard people refer to the f word and the N word as curse words before
