Of all the jigs out there the swim jig is my favorite. If I ever decided to get into making baits jigs would be my first choice

Food for thought: you could tie the skirt with the same wire, leaving the excess towards the top. Leave enough wire material and bend toward the hook point to serve as a weed guard.

That silver one at the end in your left hand is awesome. I would buy 5 of them. I think that would work great at the local lake I take my son to every Saturday morning. Very fun watching the variety of videos you put out and thanks for making it kid friendly. You and Scott Martin are in our weekly rotation of videos.

Swim jig fishing has become some of my favorite fishing. Especially when you find out the little tricks and stuff you can do with one. I guess when you can fish it more advanced is what I’m trying to say. That’s when it becomes really fun. Cool jigs bro!

I am a beginning angler, so I have been focusing on worming and trying to recognize that bite. But I am super interested in a swimjig/bait presentation because I know it would be faster. Love the videos. Not many KZbinrs spend as much time on the bank as you do. So I appreciate the content.

Cool video. I'm just starting to get into lure making with Do-It too. Will probaby start with a senko mold but am anxious to move onto swim jigs too. Thanks for posting this, it really helps a beginner like myself.

Only caught two fish on a swim jig one bass and one aggressive bluebill and ending the vid with your dog is a perfect way of doing it haha he is a handsome boy

My dad does everything pretty much just like you do. I remember back in the day my grandpa would make spinner baits and the skirts were like big rubber band looking things that would cut and it would split into the skirt. That was ages ago and can't remember exactly how it was done.

Unpainted jig head silver and white with black looks unbelievable best looking swim jig I ever seen that one will catch fish before you tie it on lol by the way great video rest of jigs looks good also

Wow Debo, I have never seen that process before. That was really interesting. I have only used a jig for crappie. I have only recently started hardcore bass fishing and using plastic worms and other artificial bait. I need to get some 4/0 jigs and yours look awesome. And now I'm interesting in making them as well. Thanks for the nicely done videos. And yes, I would like to see more videos like this. Thanks again.

Swim jigs with 8mm eyes look incredibly cool! They remind me of squid that I caught in Sydney Harbour. Love the white one you showed last.

Those look awesome! I could definitely see those getting munched. If you have issues with hanging up you could definitely drill a small hole and add some thin wire like the Zman weedless Ned heads. Use a little JB weld to hold them in. We for sure need to see you put these to work!!

Dude, those look really sweet, and swimjigs are my goto right after chatterbaits! Great viDebo as usual. I'd really like to see some in a weedless version too, and maybe something in an alternative weedguard like a double wire, or loop style wire, or something like the new crosseye chatterbait👍

You can also use a small fine file to clean up the heads... just takes a few strokes to remove any casting overflows after snipping.
