these videos are honestly so helpful!! learned how to backwards skate in 2 days!! i’ve been trying to get the t stop down but i couldn’t get it and i didn’t know why, now i know that u shouldn’t put down all 4 wheels, thanks!!

The fatal flaw learners do with T stops is putting too much weight on the braking foot then shooting off into an uncontrolled spin as the braking skate roll outwards, once you've got it though, and can really control that rear skate it adds whole new levels of confidence to 'feeling the floor' with your wheels and not needing to use your toe stops.

Great tutorial sis. You are a really good imagery coach. Keep up the good work. I like the shorter videos vs the hour long chatty ones. Just sayin. 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

Agreed. Brief but well explained lessons with visuals make it much easier to learn. The info seems to stick in my head better. And I have that one specific lesson to work on at a time, before going on to the next. Its not so overwhelming. The longer videos make it harder to retain the information. By the time I get to the end of it I have already forgotten some of the important stuff.

You are the bomb‼️ I learned the basics over 35 yrs ago. I became obsessed with getting really good at it about 3 yrs ago & just started back a wk ago. This is the best video I’ve seen on T Stops that CLEARLY explains exactly what we need to do. 3 minutes a week. Lol I’ll be doing this almost everyday for a month.

By 2 minutes in, it was already the most helpful tutorial I’ve seen. Just by watching I can visualize and feel what I should do when I get my skates on. Thank you ABOM!! 💜 I’m gonna go binge the rest nowww

I did all the mistakes and found the pinky toe tip helps. This video confirmed how it should feel and I was getting it....now to drill and drill. Be good to see how to add a t stop with speed. I guess it is just balance practice so will do some more 1 foot drills X thank you

Agreed! It was the pinky toe part that made it finally click for me.

Thank you! I'm new to my Moxies and this helped a bit! My positioning was so much different then in my derby skates! Thank you for the goal of 3 minutes! Absolutely a SMART Goal! Appreciate you! ❤

I would like to see one member of the Moxi Skate Team carry out a t-stop on tarmac/a normal road with outdoor wheels!
@FrancisMaxino3 жыл бұрын
Are you skeptical about pulling them off with softer grippy wheels on ordinary concrete? I learnt this on a smooth rink but can assure you it works off rink as well, even with soft, gummier wheels.
@35nee3 жыл бұрын
@@FrancisMaxino oh I can do them 😉. I do them on tarmac on soft wheels all the time 😁.
@FrancisMaxino3 жыл бұрын
@@35nee That's cool, easier on smoother seal and more glidey.

What would be the best situation to use the T stop? When you're going faster or slower? I have a habit of dragging my toe stop. Love all the lessons!
@skateata12 жыл бұрын
I use a t stop when I don't have a lot of space around me and if no one is pushing against me. Plow stops are great but they take a lot more space.

I am right dominant and am wearing down the back left side of my right wheel. I don’t think I am putting the right pressure correctly as this so the wheel that is most uneven.

Does this only work with harder wheels? Outdoor wheels grip too much

Why are skaters so anti using a back stop? I'm rediscovering skating. In the 90's we just slammed down the heel. You weren't there, man.
@moxiskates2 жыл бұрын
Innovation :) It's pretty uncommon to see skates with back break, unless for children. Same goes for aggressive inlining, they do not have any brakes. I guess the front stop is less in the way for other tricks that are more desired today!
@mumsie-uk2it2 жыл бұрын
@@moxiskates thanks for replying. I'm working on ways of stopping without the back brake. Getting there, but it's nice having the reassurance that you're not going to go straight into a bush/car/person if all else fails 👍

Moxi Roller Skates are a TOTAL RIP OFF! Riddell made their 120 boot in dif colors and mostly bonded swede, they took their cheapest made boots with plastic soles with a low end plate, with $5 bearings and $30 wheels..to target WOMEN because they come in pretty colors. Estrogen..ha..more like EstroJOKE.
