I’ve never ridden without a numnah as ride with a numnah and a half pad. This isn’t a hate comment as love ur videos but I was just a bit shocked xxx
@chloebevington9866 жыл бұрын
C and H Saddle pads and half pads aren’t necessary as the saddle should be comfortable for the horse without them, and they should never be used to adjust the fit of a saddle as it creates pressure points.
@xoxoxoxo90985 жыл бұрын
@@chloebevington986 am no you need a saddle pad because the saddle will rub the horse
@chloebevington9865 жыл бұрын
Katie Ryan not if it fits properly. An ill-fitting saddle will rub with or without a saddle pad. My yard regularly use horses that don’t use saddle pads and they’re fine

My pony breathes out as well but he’s in a treeless so I prefer to tighten girth fully before I get on so I walk him round on foot then tighten it again ( he’s also a shit at the block and runs away when you’ve got one foot in stirrup just about the jump on)

Could you please tell me what the difference is between a saddle and a roller. As far as I know, roller is like a belt that goes arond the horse's chest and back that is mainly used for lungeing exercises but I just can't be sure because I haven't been able to find anything solid on it.

So you just have to make sure it is positioned correctly so it doesn’t run their back, try putting it on yourself and asking someone to check and help you for your first few times if possible xx

Not to give hate or anything but why do you not use any type of saddle pad other than a half pad? The bottom (flaps) of the saddle could rub on your horse... Just wondering
@furryfun74886 жыл бұрын
You are so right
@chloebevington9866 жыл бұрын
If the saddle fits correctly and the leather is well cared for and soft it shouldn’t rub unless he has sensitive skin. Saddle pads and half pads are preference (unless the horse has a back issue which requires protection between the saddle and their back but they’re still sound to ride) and shouldn’t be used to adjust the fit of the saddle as it can create pressure points

@canteringon.x61276 жыл бұрын
Both are amazing animals but horses are very expensive and so are dogs! If you went for a horse, get a loan first so you know what you’re getting yourself into! Make sure you know lots about dogs and are financially prepared to pay for any unexpected emergencies x
@emilienatalie86357 жыл бұрын
He looks as though he's being strangled with the girth haha! It is strechy however they do still become very tight so you can't check it like a regular girth, you need to chek it underneath their barrels to see how tight they really are.

@chloebevington9866 жыл бұрын
Oskyboii i Because that’s what his owners gave her to use and you don’t need a saddle pad OR a half pad if the saddle fits correctly, it’s just a preference

Way dont you put on a numnah and the half pad
@canteringon.x61276 жыл бұрын
Because it’s fine on it’s own. People use a numnah and half pad on for extra support but if she and pinokhios (sorry not sure how to spell his name) owner decided it’s okay without then it’s fine without x

Riley Watford She does but this is a tutorial on tacking up not grooming, and horses shouldn’t be bathed every time you ride them as it strips the oils from their coat which protects against rain
