This is the kind of videos this community needs!!! Lots of people are scared of digging into their motors because they think it's a swiss watch with over 1000 moving parts. 20 thumbs up on this teardown.

Thanks for the tutorial. Much appriciated, Bro. Building a full suspension bike and it works flawlessly so far with the 146 link #420 RK chain. In the process of upgraded all the rollers to double 6062 ZZ bearings steel idler sprockets on the power side for longevity. There is a little parasitic drag with the chain loop so I'm building a 70cc Mineralli engine to climb the hills in my area.

How you knocked out the clutch assembly from the drive side, can you do the same from the clutch gear? Such as leaving the drive gear alone (not taking the nut off either) and taking the clutch gear off and tapping it from the clutch gear so it comes out from the drive side
@ejlhejlh66893 жыл бұрын
You can also use a rubber mallet to remove the clutch rod assembly without mucking up the edges.

They are beautifully colored crank cases Plus I don’t even know what the heck they’re called?????? I have looked up 80cc intake crankcases But nothing shows I would like to put a water cooled Engine cylinder head on my 2-stroke 80cc, but I need a crank case intake which seems impossible to find. 9:41 That's a good shot of the rear mount area. On my Wildcat Minarelli, if I shave about .64" off of the Right-hand base hole of a CNC engine mount, and about the same off of the crankcase which is adjacent to it, I could use it >>>>> so why haven't I seen anyone else with a rear CNC mount? The front is all I ever see, and i've been diligently looking for over a month, hundreds of bikes, not one! 🤔 Mof, it's actually a flatter spot on the back than the front, and it's no problem there.

Could you tell me how for you would recommend mounting a carburetor behind the motor with a rubber hose.
@crazy_dan4205 жыл бұрын
Make sure you use a clamp mounting the carb to the frame after the hose, and maybe even clamp it off again between the carb and filter. I've seen a few race vids showing losses just because the carb popped off. It's a simple fix that costs a couple ounces.
@crazy_dan4205 жыл бұрын
TLDR: Just like you don't want your exhaust to hang too far without bracing, the same goes for your intake.

I know this is a late response to your post, but i have built a few of these motors for some kids that live close by. Try doing some case porting to match the transfer ports on the cylinder. I got one motor doing 47 mph with porting the cases and cylinder, plus an after-market exhaust pipe. I went up 2 sizes on the main jet and dropped the needle ( raised the clip ) on the carb one notch. The motor is reliable, but it is dangerous to ride at that speed because of the lack of brakes. Brakes on bikes are not made to stop a bike doing 47 mph. By the way i am a certified motorcycle and jet ski mechanic with numerous pro championships on motors i have built for racers. Jet Ski motors raced by my brother Tommy (the Bomber) Bonacci has 6 titles on my motors. Jeff "Chicken" Matiasevich (motocross and supercross) has a 125cc championship and a few wins in the 250cc class on the national events.These little bike motors and other motors always have room for improvement. Just be careful doing porting if you are not sure what you are doing because once you remove material you cant put it back.
