I've got a ZV-E1 and this shutter unfortunately doesn't work with it, even with a Micro USB to USB C converter. It works with my ZV-1 though

How do we get it to start tracking? I took over 100 photos and every one is out of focus (focused on the background)

Thanks for the great tips! Does this process re-focus before taking each shot? I’m still new to Sony Autofocus. AF Tracking is amazing on video, but wondering if my photo settings aren’t correct for self portraits? Thanks!

Why not use the sony app to control via phone and frame up perfectly?

You totally can, but using the external intervalometer allows for many shots in succession, with full autofocus/tracking for each shot and it'll be totally hands-free. I used the app for awhile before discovering this method and, personally, this method makes the self-portrait process a lot more fun.

Please note, the A7C line does not have the micro usb port so this method may not work. 🤔

The sony app is not as reliable as i would hope. It constantly freezes and shuts down. So this is super useful thank you
