Just got the lizard skins in brown. I have been admiring the craftsmanship and quality of materials used. Simply a work of art, and not to mention more comfortable than a tennis shoe! Looks a hell of a lot cooler too!

I just got a pair of over-the-knee Dan Post boots in what appears to be a hand-treated colorway PLUS gorgeous embroidery. I live in Oregon. Not that I WANT to get the boots wet, but it's likely. What's the best way to protect embroidery? Wipe them off yes, but anything else?

I always did it wrong. I wipe them off, clean with saddle soap then put leather conditioner on last. Thank you for the video. Now i know how to take care of my cowboy boots the right way.

Umm... use the bick leather conditioner on Python skin and other exotics?? Yea, that will ruin them. You need reptile/exotic skin conditioner.

It's not actually python skin that they use on Dan Post boots, it's cow. they just make it look like it. But yeah, don't use that stuff on exotics

Yep my Dan Post white snake 🐍 skin boots went yellow to bad the belt did not. 😒 Oh and I just got the brown lizards 🦎. I wish there was a way I could get rubber heel pads for when I resole them.

i'm confused. did he say it was ok to use Bick 4 on the blue birds? because on the Bick 4 container it says "Do not use one suede, roughout, distressed, napped, or any pre-treated leathers."

I'm curious about this as well. I have a pair of Bluebirds, and I'm really unsure about what to use on them. I LOVE them so much and don't want to damage them. I know your comment is from six years ago. Did you happen to find out the best thing to use for them?

@@debbiepacker. bick 4 makes special seperate conditioners for suede and exotic skinned boots. do not use the regular bick 4 on suede, roughout or exotic leathers as it ruins there texture and sometimes finishes.

@@5.0Lorenzo I was confused about the roughcut (which is what my Bluebirds are). When I asked them about that specifically, they said it was okay for them. I will check the bick 4 website though and see what else they offer. Thanks!

What you are saying that with WATERPROOF work boots, don't use Bick 4, but do use the pink product? If the answer is "Yes", then that means if my work boots are NOT waterproof, I can use Bick 4?

how do i find out the right color polish for my boot. i just bought my first leather boot and its a darkish brown, i cant tell but anyway where the creases are at the bug the creases turn to a lighter brown and makes my boot have bright brown lines all around the line and i want to hide that.

Awesome product... +10, -2... Pairs of different collection of cowboy boots - Want to comes to exotic skins they are too cold hard to make it thicker and more durable but remember they are still exposed to the elements what exotic skins - No show some lady cowboy boots

I noticed that when I use the bick 4 conditioner on my Dan Post exotics sunset color I start to see the color on the rag. Is the tanning bad on the exotic leather?

We'll I have a pair of dan post leather boots that my grandfather gave to me he has had THem for 30 plus years and still has not worn them still in the original box. What do you think I should put on them to keep the leather from drying and cracking and to also keep them still looking new??????

I bought a pair of caiman boots a day ago and I'm returning them today. Everytime I step they make a farting sound. They fit good and I love they way they look but they are too noisy. Very disappointing

Dan post has a lot of beautiful boots but the soles are garbage I think it’s cause of the soft sole system they have if I lived in states I would have taken back the sole never lasted 6 mths I have 20 pairs of other brands and I never had this problem so I guess I have to pay to get fixed I will never buy another again I’ve seen other people with same problem and they were pissed 3 o4 hundred dollar boots should not fall apart i bought on line would cost a fortune send back ther loss not mine I love the look of ther boot and would have bought more but not now :( !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have 25 pairs of boot I have 2 pairs of Dan post and one Laredo the dan pot come apart on the inside of the welt like I say every since they changed to them stupid new soles they use they are junk including the leather is a poor quality they are brown sidewinders the Laredo’s which are made in China they sold out to the Chinese to make a cowboy boot

They were my boots that I wore almost all the time and I don’t drag my feet or walk funny it’s not a hole in the sole it’s the welt the side came apart the stitching so I now or other people with same complaint the stitching on the sole came apart so no more of ther product for me I’ll buy good boot like luccheses that take a licking and keep on going and I paid same price roughly
