How to Take Euphorbia (Spurge) Cuttings | Summer Perennial Cuttings | How to Propagate Euphorbias

Perennial Euphorbias are fantastic garden plants which delight borders throughout the year with their bright yellow or orange bracts. They range in size and growing conditions, some even thriving in the dry shade beneath trees. Many are also evergreen giving great structure throughout the year.
We grow a few Euphorbias in our garden and in this video we are taking cuttings from our variegated leaved Euphorbia.
Taking cuttings is an easy process and allows us to create more plants for the garden. Cuttings can be taken from the new growth in spring or throughout summer when plants have finished flowering and are growing new stems for the following year.
The sap from Euphorbia stems can be an irritant to skin so we advise that gloves are worn when handling them.

You are the King of cuttings Paul! Hope you survived the strong winds last night/this morning. I just had a few pots blown over but no damage. My brother had a tree come down blocking his lane and it's also taken out the phone lines so no internet which will kill him as he's always on-line. Must be a lot of people affected as his line won't be fixed until he middle of next week. I suppose living in the country puts you at the bottom of the list as you're not seen as a priority. Hope you both have a lovely weekend and manage to get in your lovely garden. xxx

Thanks Wendy, that feeling you get making new plants is my favourite part of gardening as you know. The wind has been bad but luckily only some minor damage affecting a few stems on our cosmos plants. The sweet peas have been blown this way and that but seem relatively okay. That's awful what's happened near your brothers. Living in the country you would think more of a priority because of the remoteness and for security. It's been a busy week with one thing or another so very glad to finally be at the weekend. Fingers crossed for a bit warmer weather to come. It's really felt like autumn.
