I only need pictures for teeth Whitening purposes so just front view for before and after pics. I have the Canon EOS Rebel T3i Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens already. Will that work? Do I need the 100mm Macro lens and the Macro TTL Ring Flash Light for that?

Whatever works works. There are many good camera systems. I am not a camera expert. This system was recommended to me by one of the Teaching Faculty members of my Dallas hands on teaching center (CARD). He is a camera/photography expert.

Do you like canon more than nikon?I would like to buy a camera and try to understand what to choose?

There are many good cameras. I used Nikon for years. It is a wonderful camera. I now use this system. It works beautifully. We offer the entire system so you do not have to think about what to buy. This entire photographic and exam/consultation system has worked marvelously for me in my office for almost 40 years with only slight modifications. It's the system I am teaching you, not the camera.

I mean crown lengthening without gingivectomy

Gingivectomy is a part of periodontal crown lengthening. Crown lengthening is both ostectomy and gingivectomy. Unfortunately, many dentists do not realize osteotomy is a part of the crown lengthening procedure and they just remove some gum tissue without any bone removal, not understanding the body will always try to reestablish the biologic width and if you prep a crown or veneer margin sub gingival to the new gingival line following just gingivectomy, the gingival tissue will most likely become red and inflamed because the restoration is preventing proper reestablishment of the soft tissue, bone relationship in the biologic width.

I have no idea, off the top of my head. If you purchase the entire package, there are mirrors in the package. We are not trying to sell camera systems, we just put together the entire package so you do not have to find the parts individually. In most things, I like packages so I do not have to waste emotional energy tracking down the individual parts.

Remember crown lengthening does not normally occur distally past the mesial of the first molars because you do not normally want to crown lengthen into the furcation of the molars. Crown lengthening normally only extends to the bicuspids. There are several crown lengthening cases in DMC.com library in conjunction with maxillary veneer restoration.

@@centerforard thank you for the answer I m talking about crown lenghtening in posterior teeth like Daniel Melker does. I specially talk about the cases where there is not attached gum enough, so we just touch the bone , not the gum. In these case, how do we place the gum apically at the time of suture ?

I really like and respect Danny Melker. He presented at my teaching Center in Dallas several times. If there is not sufficient attached gingiva around a tooth. make an intramuscular incision and reflect the entire flap without gingivectomy, perform appropriate ostectomy, the replace the flap along with some Perioderm or Alloderm under the flap to restore keratinized gingiva.
