It's fun to get out of the comfort zone every now and then. Shaking it up a little and somehow images like that seem to work. Inspired by you way of showing your country I guess 😀 thanks for watchibg grt guido

Hello Guido Another kind of street photography, with amazing results. Like the image with the blue bicycle. Looks also good in color :-). Grt Ernesto

The problem with the image in colour was that some the leafs moved and were blurry. Somehow I imminently noticed it in the colour version but not in the b&w version. Because you look at the bicycle I guess. So it was a nice solution. Thanks for watching and your comment. Grt guido

Hi Guido, interesting video and thanks for showing how you process the images 😊 really loved the blue bike even though the owner obviously did not appreciate you taking a picture!

I actually think the owner of the bike was not the angry man. It was an old guy, and the bicycle was about 3 sizes too big for him 😅 I tried showing him the picture to explain what I was doing, but he only got more angry. So the hero in me decided to get the he'll put of there 😆 thanks for watching and you comment. Grt guido

Thanks! Wonderful photos and use of stacking. I like the idea of using the natural distortion of the super wide angle to make the window larger. I find that I struggle with composing those type of wide angle photos. Appreciate the discussion on creating the blue bike.
@GuidoVanDeWater
@GuidoVanDeWater 18 күн бұрын
I have to say that in case of the window the super wide angle worked for me. Buy the photo of the square was really difficult. The end result seems ok but I really had to spend some time to pull everything straight in that image. And if you look closely you will see that the shape of the church tower is still a bit odd. These wide angles are just really tricky. I hope I can test the 8-25 soon because I really want to know how that lens handels distortion and flair. Thanks for watching and your comment. Grt guido

As much as I love your nature landscapes, these night images are very nice too. As for the blue bike, isolating the blue was a great creative move. I enjoy playing with the partial color settings on my E-M1 mk iii for similar effects. I mainly shoot jpg, so it’s easy to do in camera. In any case, it’s fun to see your process.

I used to do that on the em-1 also but since I switched to raw I don't use it anymore in camera. But it's nice to do something creative indeed. Happy to see you like these images also. Something different every once in a while helps to keep creative! Thanks for watching grt guido

Dankjewel Ton! Deffinitly. It's a shame so much of it was destroyed during wwii it used to be much better. It's the oldest city of the netherlands but it has the least old buildings. All of them were destroyed. But still the combination of modern and old is also nice. Thanks for watching grt guido

Hi Guido, This is a very interesting video. Wouldn't it be easier to use an HDR feature available in the camera instead ? Why do you do aperture adjustment yourself?
@GuidoVanDeWater
@GuidoVanDeWater 18 күн бұрын
There are a couple of reasons for it. First of all I want to show what I do on camera, second is that sometimes the bracket can't take enough shots to get result that I want. And last is that I'm just a lazy photographer. I hate to acces the menu to turn stuf on and of. And somehow it is just more satisfying to do it myself 😅 by the way this technique does not work the same when you do a high res shot. Another reason for me is that when I take a highres and someone walks trough the frame I have to start over. Now I just repeat that specific frame. Thanks for watchibg grt guido

Hello Guido, i´m surprised about your process when photographing the first scene. Why did you take 10 shots? My process is to take a first shot and check the histogram. Based on this, i overexpose the second shot, that´s there´s no peak on the left side of the histogram. I underexpose the third shot, that´s there no peak on the right side of the histogram. The recommendation by Adobe is to combine only 2 images. There´s no improvement by combining 3 or more images. But there´s one exception: The difference in stops between the 2 shots is less than five. That´s the range Lightroom can manage. This is my process and it always works fine. If you want, you can 10 or 100 shots, but the final result will be identic. Kind regards Bernd

The quality indeed doesn't get better with more shots then when you use only 3 like you do but the dynamic range increases The only difference and that is why I do it like this is that I want those street lights and windows to be clear. I don't want those lights being blown. I just want to be able to look into them. By using more shots and especially an almost dark shot, you can really look into the light, which gives a different look to the image that I always like. So for me it's only because of that. Thank for watchibg. Grt guido

I think there is a difference in the way adobe combine images, ( easy to test with a tripod and a high dynamic range composition and some test shots) or it is camera related to my. Camera’ dynamic range/noise, more brackets manual or predefined usually does help. If there is say blue hour sun set more shots can generate strange patterns in the slowly changing sky. I do use the histogram to determine the first and last shot when I have time and a tripod

In fact I know for sure that Adobe does something with every image if you combine 10 or 15. If for example I use 15 photos and then do the same and leave a few out then I get a whole different outcome. Not nessecarely worse or better but different. It's a specific style shotnthat I'm aiming for with this technique that only works this way. Grt guido
