select the first image and then scroll down to the last image hold shift and then select the last image and then convert to smart object

When converting to smart object it will freeze. You just have to wait for it. You can refer to 4:19

Instead of photopea, you can photoshop! Open photoshop, click on file and then import and import video as layers or something like that and then the process is same.
