🤩HAVE A SIMPLER WAY THAT I’VE BEEN DOING FOR 25YEARS-after making a cutting from the rosebush, just stick it straight into the ground 2” inches. Pat it in and water it real good making sure the cutting area is well saturated with water. Full ☀️ to half ☀️ best. Don’t let the ground become dry! Keep it moist. In a couple of weeks, you’ll have new growth. Note: My ground soil is (plain black dirt.) Have also been successful, using a mixture of sand and black dirt as well. Which is 60% black dirt and 40% sand mixed together. Both soil types are successful for me. I like to use cuttings 12” to 20” long, leaving only a few leaves at the tops, stripped of all thorns. No growth hormone or fertilizer is used either. Give it a try, you’ll be successful too.🌹🌹😊🕊️ ☮️

Roses will root by this method without the “nutrient solution” as long as wounds are dipped in cinnamon powder, however you’ll wait years for flowers. A bigger cutting will root just as easily and don’t forget many if not all modern roses are grafted onto different root sticks so what you end up with will probably not be what you wanted. It’s a great teaching exercise for kids though.

Looks great but why is there no wax on either end of the cuttings when you pulled them out of the spag moss?

If you can, zoom in on the branches at the end. Then, go back to the beginning of the video. The branches are different. You can tell by the scars from the thorns taken off. Instead of having the red wax, they have what appears to be some type of glue holding the roots on. It would be a miracle for them to have roots and sprouts of those sizes in 3 weeks. Unfortunately, it seems like this is a fake. 😢

I may be wrong. It is simply what I noticed after seeing videos from Fraser Valley Rose Farm. One of his videos goes into detail about the 'fake' click-bait videos. Mike Kincaid(might be spelled wrong) is also a great gardening inspiration for me. Best of luck to you and your roses.

While this may be a great method, it's obvious the cuttings you showed with the roots are not the same cuttings you stuck. The rooted cutting had 3 thorn scars just above the root line and the one you prepared only had one thorn removed at the root line. However, the method looked reasonable and I will give it a try.

c'est du pipo, il enléve tout les feuilles et il n'y a plus de quoi pour la photosynthése, ansi la tige ne peut pas produire son energie pour sa croissance. il faut toujours laisser au moins deux feuilles , taillé un peut pour eviter que ça ne seche pas, car la plante respire avec ses feuilles aussi que créée ses sucres pour l'enérgie. ça fait plus que 40 ans que je fait des boutures de rose, et oui ça prend du temps, car la plupart des cultivares sont greffé sur une rose sauvage, ils ont du mal autrement. çe çi est la raison qu'on ne tailles pas trop bas sur une rose, pour eviter que la souche ne se propages pas, car ça risque de tuer la rose greffé sur la souche. trouves une tige bien saine sans fleurs ni boutons de fleur, taillez la à 15 à 20cm. la coupe dois étre juste en sous d'un bouton, typiquement ils sont rouge en couleur, et faites votre coupe à 40degrees environ. apres, enléve tout les feuilles sauf ceux au bout, en laissant ses deux la, la bouture peut se nourire. les cultivares ont des feuilles complex, de cinque feuillettes, enlévez les deux plus bas sur chaque pour eviter la perte d'eau en respiration. tout ça dois étre fait avec un canife tres éguisé ou un lame de razoire sterile. ne enléve pas l'écorce! la paraffine est un poison pour les plantes! àpres , meme dans l'eau ça va pouser des racines, mais un pot de terreau bien trempé avec une cloche est favourable. attends trois semaine en guardent bien mouillée. on sait que ça à marché bien avant car la bouture va poussé des nouvelles feuilles. dans un petit pot, vous pouvez voire quand les racines sont la quand elles dépasses le pot, on voyez des petit points blanches. rempotez! il est nécéssaire de donner l'engrais à des cultivares, mieux de faire une greffe sur une rose sauvage pour la donner la force. mais ça c'est beaucoup trop compliqué pour expliquer ici. bonne chance!

Usually candle wax is used on the ends of cuttings above the soil . This is done in fig cuttings. say. to prevent the stem from drying out too quickly. Remember, water moves through a plant along thin tubes called xylem. If the end is blocked with wax water will not evaporate so quickly. Having said all that I have never seen wax used on the rooting end!
