Neat ideas Jo. I picked up a little basket with a handle and a lining that I use to keep my little project in and carry easily with me wherever I go. I even take it in the car when I go visit my mom. She knits and I slow stitch :-).

They are lovely, especially the one with the contrasting black and white stitch, may I ask where you got those sewing cottons from? So far I’ve only used embroidery silks. Those looked very interesting.

Thank you! The perlé cotton (also called pearl cotton) is by DMC. I also use perlé cotton by Wonderfil. I get them from my local sewing shop. I’m in Canada. I think the DMC brand is widely available in the US at craft stores. There’s also a brand called Valdani that makes hand dyed threads and sells from their website. Perle Cotton is very nice to stitch with! 😊🧵🪡

A question. In some of your pouches you make the felt the same size as the backing fabric and in some there is an edge outside of the felt. Can you explain it a bit. Thanks. Loving this.

You’re right I do make them both ways. The only difference it makes is when sewing the bottom and side - if the felt is the same size then the join is thicker to stitch together and thicker in appearance. If the fabric goes over the edges of the felt then I can stitch fabric to fabric right near the edge of the felt without going through it - the join is easier to stitch and the seam is less bulky. Either way is fine. It oftentimes depends on the size of the fabric(s) I’m using, if I can let the fabric go past the felt edge then I do. Hope that makes sense! Maybe I should make a quick video explaining the two options! 😊🧵🪡
