Yes, Emma, I couldn't agree more. When I find an English chat on the Internet I become very nosy and I snoop on to see what grammar forms are they using, which words and collocations are they choosing. This is another way to learn! Because quite a lot of the participants are very knowledgeable, and they have a sizeable level. And on top of that, I have a great time reading the answers.

I'm so pleased to have a teacher like you Emma ... The most interesting part of your teaching is that no point is being left behind (all protocols must be observed) you're not only an advanced English speaker but also the best English coach I have ever seen on KZbin... I love you so much, I love the way you teach... And thanks for reminding us of "English filler words" the one i'd like to carry on with it's (basically) it sounds so natural to me...thank you so much especially for not leaving any of essential points behind. Hi Emma This is one among the most significant and interesting spoken English lecture I have ever attended. Each of the 6 items is of basic importance. I think training tongue is a difficult task and in many instances it has been proved impossible. Native people in general don't seem to think of training their tongues. Whereas, excepting a few, non-natives intend to train eventually to attain enormous failures. We find it difficult to follow the instruction of a trainer. Hopefully, a good number of native speaking professional are emerging with their potential and we hope we would be benefitted.

Solid advice. My French has plateau-ed. I once thought about a speech-therapist for help on my accent. I can do the France thing, but not so much the Quebec accent. Some of my language acquisition and TESL training seemed to parallel my Dad's speech therapist's exercises after Dad had a stroke. I discussed it a little with Dad. The way he described it, his first language became a second language. He knew the words, but they wouldn't connect with his tongue.

I've been studying the language for more than a decade now, starting when I was in my early teenage years. I'm living in a country were english is taught but not spoken amongst the common people. It annoys the hell out of me these days - I can not bring my english to the next level. I am trying literally everything: watching movies, series and videos in english, even reading books in english. It just seems to remain an issue for me to improve my skills though.

@@nawabkhan7927 If you have problems with listening skills or you don't even understand what you hear, so let me help you how to improve your ears to catch every single word especially when you watch movies. there's no magic to get this ability or skill in one day! but there's a particular way to improve it as much as possible. in fact you need to exercise your ears and also pay attention carefully. It may takes a long time to understand what's going on through movies or even in difficult conversations but If you practice over and over again, I promise you that you will see the results so soon. you're going to have better listening skills that you've never expected before. so I suggest you to check out our You tube channel "GoodWave" If would like to see the improvement quickly. each video contains some parts that took from movies and also has subtitles to help you understand well.

Hello Emma! I think you guessed my feelings now ... srsrs ... !! It is easy to see the improvement of our learning in the beginning, however, after two or more years studying English it's very easy to feel this feeling, and at this point we can't see the improvement anymore. Like you said, it's like we're on an infinite plateau. So, thanks for these helpful tips !! I'm sure that will help us a lot !!! All good!!!

Thank you, Emma, I am a native to the USA. I agree with you about having a hard time understanding different accents. I suppose its due to the size and diversity of America. Recently, I have been doing some research on copywriting for a Christian business I'm operating on the internet. Principally, I have been searching for the best tips on communicating online in English. Written and spoken English. I found your KZbin channel and instantly was amazed at the quality of your work. Truly God has blessed you with an inspiring gift. I just wanted to say thank you, for sharing such valuable and relevant information with us and may God continue to bless you.
