Thanks for the wonderful comment Ryan!!! My plan is to show up every week for 2 years. It'll happen. 🙂 What else should I cover on the channel?
@ryanm68184 жыл бұрын
It most definitely will blow up eventually. I think the type of videos you make now are great i guess the youtube algorithm just hasn’t put them out there. Personally I would recommend a video on how to approach people, especially a group of people you don’t know

My most used confidence killing phrase would be " Sorry to Interrupt" Great vid as always Jeff!

Please keep doing what you are doing. You are gonna be BIG! And please earn money, but do not completely go behind it. Always keep your helping attitude. I got reminded of Jeff Cavalier, his channel is full of such incredible knowledge hugely based on his experience that it's unbelievable its for free. But he makes money with his curated programs too. His is one of the most followed fitness channel. Damn! I just noticed your name is Jeff too! Haha! Keep doing what you are doing. You will surely blow up! Im certain!

I feel like I need to disagree with the "does that make sense" phrase as a confidence killing phrase. I would once in a while describe a scenario and out of concern for the other (not for myself), I ask if they're following me. It offers me a chance to elaborate as needed and it's a pulse check to make sure they get exactly what I'm talking about. I feel like it's a two-way conversation where the question reminds the viewer that they can speak up if they need to. I do this all the while feeling pretty confident.

If it works for you, keep doing it! I swapped "Does that make sense?" out with "What questions do you have?" (Not "Do you have any questions?") It works for me. Thanks for the comment Jeffrey!

@@thejeffcallahan That’s a pretty good follow up - “Did you have any questions on that?” Thanks!
@thejeffcallahan4 жыл бұрын
@@jodolski Thanks! Yeah, asking "What questions do you have?" prompts for questions rather than a straight yes/no. I used to work as a corporate trainer and that helped draw out questions from people who normally wouldn't ask any.

Is “Does that make sense?” the same as “Does that make sense to You.” said as a statement, not a question? Being that what you are saying credible, and your questioning their comprehension of that statement (down turn/tone in voice), and not the statement itself. Does that make sense? (Kidding, where’s my jar?) Serious about my above question though. Thank you for sharing such helpful information.
@thejeffcallahan3 жыл бұрын
Lol “Where’s my jar”! In my experience “What questions do you have?” is 100x more effective because it’s not a straight yes/no question. Adding “…to you” at the end of “Des that make sense…” doesn’t add much. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for sharing, Rachel! What do you think you could replace that phrase with? (Or would you replace it with anything?)
