Someone who does not own Scorched Earth cannot enter the map, and CAN use the creatures if they are transferred from Scorched Earth. Bob's Tall Tales is at its core similar to a microtransaction, but there has clearly been enough effort put in to consider it an entire DLC in my opinion, even though it is a little bit iffy, as it has content that players cannot access even though they are located on the same map. Pay to use, basically. The Pyromane is a clear cut microtransaction. On a full price rework of an existing game. It is a small transaction for a single feature, a single creature. It's taming process is even easy, so you basically only have to pay and you have near immediate access to it. It is also powerful, so one gains a very significant competitive advantage when using it. It's a retextured, lazy, buffed up version of a creature that was already considered Pay to Win by some. It is a microtransaction, and you are coping if you dont think so, unless you can provide a very good counterargument.

I'm pretty sure that they are lacking money to support development for ARK II, and they may actually be trying to bring it out within a certain time, but this really makes me question why they went along with ASA. Although, I guess it is kinda their last shot at getting through ARK II, as other ARK projects don't seem to be as successful. All they need is a willing player base, as well as some newcomers to this particular gaming community as well, and then also money for both projects.

The oasisaur was in a pack of creatures that will be with aberration and extinction, but yeah these premium creatures are probably gonna be on the non story maps and seeing as there isn’t any pack or bundle being offered it seems like each creature will be a individual purchase. So let’s say all of them are $5.99 starting with Center and ending with Fjordur that means Center, Raganork, Valguero, Crystal Isles, Lost Island, and Fjordur rack up about 30 bucks total, and that’s ignoring the cents and sales tax, which probably means over the course of all the purchases it may get up to 35 and possibly even 40 dollars

You can hardly see anything through the fire, but the animal's skin is really not nice to look at. And the fire ALSO doesn't look great. On a Phoenix you can count every single feather through the fire and see their texture. It also has beautiful eyes. This burning lion looks ugly. It is like they put no effort in making it look great.

Some of those mechanics are really cool and could be AMAZING for a Pokémon or Digimon mod. Imagine you having a Charmander shoulder pet that breaths fire like that, and then, when it evolves into Charizard, you can ride it. Or even better, having an Agumon hugging your back like a backpack and breathing fire from it's mouth on your shoulder and you can make it evolve into Greymon from your shoulder to ride it. Also, it seems like the Pyromane will lose it's flames in the water. But seem more elemental creatures are always cool. Can't wait to have a new ice elemental creature.

I love this guy. It's just amazing to have a shadowmane cousin and it just makes this world feel more alive and "real". I'm not a braindead pvp player so i'm just here for the cool creatures and the survival experience. In short, i'm here for the actual game. I'm not a fan of this being a paid creature however. If it was in some sort of pack, an expansion or mini dlc it would be fine, but paying for a single creature doesn't feel cool. Just remember, if you don't want it, don't buy it and stop yapping if it has nothing to do with and doesn't affect the way you play the game. They'll just realise people aren't buying this and won't do it anymore.

I’m not mad about the paid aspect, I’m mad about the creature. There are so many actual dinosaurs that still aren’t in the game, why are we adding Pokemon first?

I think that it’s fine for there to be premium creatures considering WC allowed themselves to be bullied into making all the DLC maps free. I think the Pyromane being a re-hashed, weaker shadowmane is one of the safest things they could’ve decided on. If they had the premium creature built from the ground up, they’d obviously have to charge more for it, so Ark fans would complain about it being expensive and pay-to-win. This way, it’s not too overpowered and the low price allows a lot of people to be able to get it while still allowing WC to get more money to work on ARK II. Too often people think of WC as being this giant of a company like EA but like you said, they’re probably struggling to pay everyone working on ASA and ARK II

This looks like a really fun creature. The only problem I have with it is that you can't see where you're going when you use the flame leap. Seeing as how I only have the game as a prize from that Extralife stream you did, I'm pretty sure I can afford to pay $5 to support the game.

I dont mind premium creachers as much. Biggest issue is on official you need it to use it exc so you can go against people they have it when you may not

This is so cool! A regular pet becoming a shoulder pet and back again. Neat! This is probably ridiculous, but can you walk through lava with the pyromane on your shoulder? Probably not, but... 🤔

I wonder if having unclaimed tames around for it to fight would work with taming? One issue I have is creatures spawning are a bit sporadic especially in Ascended, they need to tone down Parasaur spawning and increase things like Iguanodons or add some bigger mid level herbivores like the Edmontosaurus.

Ive tried to tame this creature but the timer always runs out before I can kill anything. It's too hard to tame these things normally.

They must be really needing the money, especially if they are using strategies like premium on players who may or may not have been happy with ASA, as from the looks of it, is still in alpha, then they have future projects like ark II. I hope they eventually get the funds the way they want, so we can actually expect an experience similar to ASE. I do like the concept for the pyromane, but I feel like they could eventually remaster the design later on, but of course, it'd be safe to say this is after they get the funding needed for both ASA and ARK II

I cant wait to spend $5 and run around on PvP setting people on fire, actually fighting people and breaking their armour is too difficult and the center doesnt have the resources to make flamethrowers so im really glad I can just drop $5 and continue to ignore flak dura and kill people with my flames that I dont even have to shoot, the game will do it for me :D

This is what I was worried about 🙃 WC (or more likely SG) is going back on their own promises of 'no new creatures' and making this more than just a remaster of A:SE. Piling new stuff onto the game instead of _fixing it_ was what pushed them into making A:SA in the first place. Allegedly. If they're going to add premium content, then I'm so confused why they're adding it now, and not a month or two after the release of maps when player retention might be dipping. And again - they promised there would be no new creatures with these content packs, didn't they? Goes to show. This sort of this is going to completely sour the favour of the player base in the long run. I'm more and more glad that I didn't get A:SA, but I really appreciate you covering the new content and look forward to new vids. 👏
