I have coarse, thick curly hair. I discovered three years ago that blow drying with a diffuser makes my curls look bouncy and reduces frizz. I use a curl cream and strong hold gel. I LOVE Curlsmith's products!!!!!! I rarely straighten my hair out. I prefer my curls. That blow dryer sounds amazing. My current one is HEAVY!

Hi Gabi, I absolutely love your informative videos. It’s refreshing to watch a hairdresser that loves to give insights without being judgmental. In a blow dryer I look for something lightweight, effective and versatile. This one looks interesting to me bc of all the choices there is in the heat settings buttons. It’s super cute, small and did a great job with your hair. Xoxo

Thank you Gabi for all your wonderful information on how to make our hair look better. I have curly hair and always blow dry it with only conditioner on it. I never knew why my hair always gets frizzy stepping out of my house...(I live in Florida) Love the way you explain the hows and whys to do certain things along with the best products to use. I definitely could use a new hairdryer along with new products. I'm going to get the WOW along with some other items you recommend. So glad I found your channel.

Have learned so much from watching you Gabi & you always make it so fun. I’ve got exact same hair type & issues you have, including hair loss from autoimmune disease. Thanks a million for all your videos!!! Love watching you girl, keep it up - your amazing 💖 I’m severely disabled so have great difficulty, doing even the basic things - but want to look & feel beautiful as much as I can. Literally haven’t been able to blow dry my hair in 15+ yrs 😢 So I’m really looking for a good quality but small, lightweight blow dryer that has a quick dry setting with low heat. This would not only make it possible for me to use but not damage my fairly virgin & fine hair.

Hi Gabi! I've been wanting to thank you and this is a great opportunity to do just that. I'm 61 (AH!) and have the same kind of hair that you do. Because of you, for the first time in my life, I was able to "style" my hair like a normal person and actually felt good about myself, dare I say pretty, during the week I spent in AZ for my son's wedding in April. I've been able to grow my hair into a layered bob instead of keeping it short and hoping for angels from heaven to sprinkle fairy dust on it so it doesn't look like doo doo. Just so you understand what a difference you've made, I've NEVER been able to feel good about my hair. EVER. I can't tell you what a difference you've made in this midwestern mom's life. What I look for in a blow dryer is the price point, light weight, variety of heat and power controls and ability to attach a diffuser which I've never had and have wanted for some time. I want to try your curls process next. You're a gem. Bless you!

Hi Gabi! I relocated from dry and arid Southern California to steamy and humid North Carolina this year, and GIRL, I needed this video! I am going to try this Color WOW "raincoat" as I need it for sure. Right now I rarely blow dry my hair, partly because I need a new hair dryer! I'm looking for something that is high quality, protects my hair, and is lightweight. My last hair dryer was just too bulky and heavy so I gave it away.

Thank you Gabi for another great hair styling tutorial! I have very similar hair to yours that I typically let air dry after using curl enhancing products. I haven't blow-dried my hair for years! But, as I've gotten older and have more grey and frizzy hair, I have thought about getting a shorter cut and looking for a good lightweight blow dryer. I have a lot of hand and wrist pain from carpal-tunnel syndrome and arthritis, which was one of the reasons I stopped blow drying and hot ironing my hair. I think if my hair is short enough and the hot tools are light enough, I just might be able to wear my hair straight again. I think the TYMO lite blow dryer you use in this video just might be the perfect one for me. Your videos are always so fun to watch, they always put a smile on my face, and I learn something new from every single one. Love you, Thanks!

I also have fine, curly hair and your tips have helped me learn how to work with that. Thank you For the blow dryer contest, I usually look for a blow dryer with a diffuser, to help tame my frizz and curls. The Tymo blow dryer has so many great features, and I now know that I don't have to have a diffuser to get the results I want. I'd love to try out the tips you've shown in this video with a Tymo blow dryer. Bonnie :)

Hi Gabi, love your videos! I've learned a great deal from you, especially how to style thin hair. When choosing a blow dryer, speed, heat & cold shock settings; diffusers & concentrator nozzle attachments; size and weight; cord length, quality, and price are significant considerations. Speed settings are crucial because it gives me versatility--I can choose hotter & faster settings for straight dos or slower and cooler ones for curly styles. In addition, a cold shock is a must for setting any hair style. A diffuser is a requirement because I don’t have well defined curls, while a concentrator nozzle smooths my straight styles. Smaller/Light-Weight blow dryers help avoid arm fatigue and save space while traveling. I believe cord length needs no explanation; there’s nothing more annoying than having to use an extension cord or to use a hand mirror to finish your hair. Quality and value are very important; I don’t believe we should spend $300 or more to find a quality blow dryer. Sorry about the lengthy comment

Gabi, thank you for taking 2 for the team (flat ironing the air dried side and testing in the steam)! ❤The WoW product really works. I prefer a dryer with customizable speed and heat control. Most are joined at the hip…high heat/high speed button, medium/medium, low/low. Being able to customize is important as I like to start high speed on medium heat, then finish off with medium speed on low heat. I also like a lightweight unit so my arms and hands don’t feel stressed while holding it over my head.😂

Hi Gabi - what I look for in a blow dryer recently is the weight - I find after growing my hair out ( and I have very thick wavy hair ) it's getting more challenging keeping the arms up while styling. I also would be that girl that would air dry my hair before flat ironing - and you are 100% correct that this is not the best solution to cut back on heat, if anything I am using more heat so I am going to stop doing that. I am going away soon and will not be packing any hot tools, therefore air drying ( yikes) I will have to get that WOW product though - I feel this will help. I also have to say - the side of your hair where you air dried I thought actually looked great! Thank you Gabi - appreciate this video 😊💕

Hi Gabi, I have to say I completely agree with you 100%. I used to always think that letting my hair air dry first and then flat iron would do less damage but the results were not nearly the same as when I started blow drying my wet hair and then flat ironing. The results were amazing, sleek and smooth for more days with no frizz. Well, when I started doing it this way I didn't realize how heavy my hair dryer can get after holding it for just a few minutes 😆 A light weight and powerful blow-dryer that will help my coarse frizzy hair dry faster will make all the difference in time and results. Love your videos❤

Thank you so much for joining channel memberships and helping to support my journey as a creator! I really appreciate you. Yes the DreamCoat spray is excellent for high humid environments ESPECIALLY if you have textured hair like me that instantly turns into a puff ball the minute it even senses water in the air. Which hair dryer do you use? The comb attachment is great for stretching out curls but it is not as necessary as a good ceramic blowout brush and a concentrator (nozzle) attachment. I hope you love it after you test it out!

Hey Gabi, you're so entertaining and I simply love your videos! I live right at the bottom of the world in Southern Africa where we have crazy weather especially the scorching sun. I have the worst mop of hair, the slightest bit of moisture and it turns into a frizz ball - you've got nothing on my hair girl!! To achieve a sleek hairstyle, I always use the hottest temp, thats the only setting that helps, so you can imagine the damage I'm doing to my hair. Having the Tymo would certainly be the start I need to get me on the right path to gorgeous healthy shiny hair. I always check out the products you use but for us to import, it gets too pricey, instead I buy something local close to what you're using. Keep up the great videos and live the life!!

@@GlamGirlGabi Yes, I have been making almost all of the mistakes you highlight in your videos! And I think your sense of intuition about this is remarkable. Thank you for improving my skill set so that aging becomes a process of joy! ♥️

@@imthedailymaker Thank you for your response! Yes, its very common and its exactly what I used to do before I became a stylist too. Over the years and through trial and error, you learn all the things you shouldn't have been doing. I am also a bridal stylist so having thing *last* in heat and humidity is the main focus of my work. That is why I know so much about it.

Hi Gabi, Great video! When I buy a hairdryer, I look for something lightweight, reasonably quiet, and affordable. I like something with a diffuser attachment because I want to encourage my natural wave. Would love to see a video from you on how to encourage waves/curls in 2a/b hair. Thank you for all you do ❤

What great information you always give! I live in Texas which is super humid and will definitely try your suggestion:) I look for a hair dryer that is light weight, it is also important that the control buttons do not get in the way to accidentally hit them while operating. This TYMO looks perfect! I do have their flat iron and their blow out brush which I love:)

Hi Gabi - Good timing. I'm looking to purchase a new hairdryer. I live in Florida and my hair is always a mess of frizz - no matter what I use. Can't wait to buy Tymo hairdryer. I'll keep you posted. Love your channel.

I am so glad I found your channel, you are now my go-to for all hair related information. Thank you. I have long hair, so the first thing I look for in a hair dryer is ease of use. If I can't handle it with ease, I am never going to be inclined to use it, so thats a non negotiable. Temperature control, multiple speeds and cold shot are very important. Finally, the brush or comb attachments are like the cherry on the cake.

Hi, your videos are so educational. I mostly look for a lightweight blowdryer because I don't have much arm strength anymore. Having fine hair is a challenge too.

I look for frizz control & temperature options when buying a hair dryer. I have fine, wavy hair that tends to get very frizzy, especially when blow drying. I’ll be trying your techniques to hopefully have better luck with my frizzys when blow drying!❤

Hi Gabi, I have very curly/thick hair and I was never able to use a blowdryer. Always setting my hair on giant rollers, sitting under a hairdryer for an hour and then wrapping my hair around my head at night to keep straight. My hairdresser blow dries my hair and it looks fabulous. I have tried the Conair blow dry brush and have had some success. It is a little cumbersome though with all my hair! This Tymo blowdryer looks like it would be perfect as it is a lot lighter than most other hair appliances. Thank you for introducing me to it and also this is the first time I have seen one of your videos. Very impressed with your demonstration! Thank you!!

Thank you Gabi! I am new to the chanel and learning so much from you. My hair was dry and brittle before but now is even worse after I let my hair stailst talk me into American Wave. That is what motivated me to look for solutions to my damaged and frizzy hair. I came across your channel and I love it. I’m always looking for any products that will help make my hair shine. Have not have shiny hair in such a long time and Florida humidity doesn’t help either. I would love for my hair drier to be compact and easy to use but powerful enough to help me bring smoothness and shine back to my lifeless hair. By the way, would you be able to share some tips on how to nurture over process hair back to life? Thank you so much for all your advice 😊

Hi Gabi I have thin, frizzy hair… So what I look for in a hair dryer is that it must be light enough to hold for the time it takes me to work the frizz out. And it must be powerful enough so it reduces overall time. 🙏❤️

The Tymo looks perfect for my needs: small, lightweight, powerful and smart. Ive always gravitated towards small blow dryers because I’m petit and they feel easier to handle. I’ve had a pixie cut for about 15-20 years and this past year I’ve slowly grown out my hair to a chin length bob. Although short, it is long for me, so blowing out my hair is a learning process. I’ve been watching your KZbin channel to learn better how to blow out/straighten my natural curly/wavy hair. And you have been immensely helpful! The Thank you.

I look for a blow-dryer that is light weight and can make my hair shine! Something light weight can be used for traveling as well as not making your arm sore. I just found your channel and I love everything about it. I have learned so much and really am trying to better my hair care.❤

When shopping for a hairdryer, definitely the more light weight - the better. Versatility - ability to add different nozzles. Lastly, ability to change heat/power settings. The difference in the sides is incredible! I have been wanting to try that Color Wow spray for so long.

Hi Gabi, I usually look for a blow dryer which is compact in size so that I don't get tired of blowing out my hair and also easier to carry when I travel. I also prefer the ones having multiple heat and fan settings with the cool air option and also a long cord is important for easy use. Thanks for giving away a Tymo hairdryer🤩 such an amazing product!!!

Hi Gabi! I have the Color Wow but haven’t used it because I wasn’t sure how to. Thank you for showing us that. When I look for a blow dryer, I look for multiple heat/speed settings, a cool shot button, lightweight, and small. The best of all worlds basically. I do have the Tymo blow dry brush based on your recommendation and love it! Hugs, Joanne. 💞

Gabi Girl: You are such a delight. Love your positive attitude. I'm 83, have very very fine, thin hair. When I'm searching for a blow dryer I look for high heat as I don't want to spend a lot of time using it. I also need something light as I'm petite. I really enjoyed watching your instructions for using the Tymo. Keep up the wonderful videos, Gabi. You're my rockstar!
