Hello Grace. Probably you didn't mean to but you've just made my night.... 🥺💕💕 I spent 4 months working in the UK and after that I worked for a British company for a little bit over 2 years. My English is not perfect, not even close but I remember my first month at work, back in the UK, I was so ashamed understanding but having that speech barrier... That experience really helped me get confident with the language. Right now I'm still quite shy in front of the camera but I think my videos are getting more and more fluent, even this one compared to my newer videos seems a little bit rusty or at least that's what I keep saying to myself as a motivational speech... 😅 Anyway one more time thaaaaaank you. 🥺 I didn't expect such a comment, not even in my dreams.

I’m white and a quarter Cherokee, and I’m pale like the moon. I hate being so pale! I look sickly and weak especially because I have a slim frame. If I’m exposed to the sun for over an hour or so, I’m guaranteed a sunburn and will turn very red. Also, showering with sunburns hurt. Tan skin is so much better

I'm Irish and I literally cannot change color. It's either red or white. I hate my skin so much. It's the one thing about me I wish I could change more than anything. Tan skin is the only thing you ever see on instagram, social media nowadays. However if you are fair, which means you have less melanonin in the skin, isn't it dangerous to try and tan? Because it increases the chances of getting melanoma as we cannot handle sun exposure like dark people :/
@justynadonaire4 жыл бұрын
I never spend more than 2h a day sunbathing. My Spanish mother-in-law goes to the beach at 9am and comes back at 6pm and she doesn't use any protection even! So I get your point. I also don't sunbathe every single day. Last summer I was going to the beach like... 2-3 times a week for like 2h each time and I got tanned and believe me I've never been tanned before in my life. Of course my tan is nothing compared to other people, I still look white compared to my in laws but anyway it's a really nice tan in my opinion. Carrot oil really changed it for me. A few years back also I went to Milan with my best friend and I got burnt so badly that my bf had to buy me litres of natural yogurt as I couldn't even dress up to go shopping myself... Of course I can't promise you'll be the same as me but I've been white whole my life, sometimes red with my skin peeling off and with these products that I'm using atm, living on Canary Islands I'm really doing ok. I never leave home for more than 10min without SPF cream on my face and arms/legs though. 😊
@sorchx4 жыл бұрын
@@justynadonaire Thanks so much for your reply. I'm living in Spain too, not the island but similar. So yeah I dread summer here. I find it really embarrassing to be walking around like a vampire or tomato while all the Spanish are these glowing bronzed statues haha. Do you glow on the beach too? Constantly get stared at for being so white. My Mum is pale ginger like you and she is able to pick up a slight tan. Where as I have very dark hair & porcelain skin so I do worry that is just not possible for me even with techniques. So just to clarify you'll use the carrot oil mix while in the sun, so no sun screen? And then after thoroughly moisturize ? Would you see a difference in a few days/week or do you find it's the slow buildup?
@justynadonaire4 жыл бұрын
@@sorchx I know many white-ish Spanish from the islands and from the North of Spain! Young people not really, but old ones stare at me a lot because of my hair rather than skin tone, some of them even stop to take a better look sooooo.... there is one neighbourhood which I try to avoid cause there are no tourists and people from there are super close- minded and I just feel uncomfy going there. I used to glow on the beach but not anymore (my in laws compliment 🙊)! First few months here I felt super weird to be honest, now I don't really care. When someone stares at me, I stare back however they are Spanish so they don't feel ashamed. 😅 Normally I use only this oil cause it contains SPF 38-40 so it already gives me protection, however my first month I was using SPF50 sunscreen under this oil cause I felt like I'm too white for only 40 and I wanted something stronger. After one month, maybe 1 and a half month I dropped that strategy and stayed with the oil only. I like to apply it at home before going to the beach (it takes me 12min to arrive there) simply to have additional protection already while walking. After that I reapply it every 40min more or less. I use the body shop face cream with SPF simply because I don't like this oily texture on my face. Then, I come back, take a shower and apply a lotion. And kinda that's it. Also! I apply a thin layer on my legs, back, belly, arms but I try to make it a little bit thicker on my chest, shoulders and bum as I tend to get reddish there otherwise. I hope now it makes sense and I really hope it could help you get some tan just to feel more self- confident! You can find me on Instagram (same name) in case you'd have any other question, now or later. It's always easier to communicate there. 😊
@justynadonaire4 жыл бұрын
@@sorchx sorry, I missed the last question! My upper body got some colour after 2-3 weeks, lower body took some more time. I started thinking "I'm tanned" (let's be reasonable- tanned for being a pale person) after first month I'd say. Simply I wasn't pale anymore. But I bet if you sunbathe every day, not only 2-3 times a week, it should be visible faster. 🤔😊
@sorchx4 жыл бұрын
@@justynadonaire Thank you for your reply. So I tried it today and I've gone quite red. Not so much a burn, just red. Do you go red first and then it changes or is going red a sign that you stayed out too long? I did about an hour straight but was lathered in the carrot/almond oil mix :) Gonna moisturize the hell out of it and hope the red will fade rather than burn.

Hi Clo, thank you so much for your comment, I just wanted to point out that my name's Justyna. 🙊 At the moment I don't use any additional protection as carrot oil contains 38SPF naturally but I used to apply 50SPF sunscreen for some months at first! @justynadonaire4 жыл бұрын
Hey Ariel. My mother-in-love struggles with wrinkly skin in general but she doesn't use any SPF protection! Honestly, I haven't noticed any wrinkles on my face caused by the sun. In my video "healthy morning habits" I show my morning skin routine, you can check there how's my skin looking from really close distance. 😊 I believe as long as you protect your skin, it doesn't get damaged, hence- you shouldn't notice any post- tanning wrinkles. 😊
@eizhowa4 жыл бұрын
Ariel Cohen Yes, it does over time. You won’t get wrinkles instantly, but the sun will speed up the aging process. I would use a SPF on the face and a hat. A tan can be faked with bronzer on the face :)
