Train with me on my app | 7-Day Free Trial | $8.99/mo Go to📲 www.myliftfitness.com IMPORTANT INFO🚨🚨 Yes, you can experience some regional growth in the hamstrings & quads depending on what end of the muscle you’re training it from. For example: The hamstrings cross both the hip and the knee. When you do deadlifts (Hip extension) you can see more growth higher up on the hamstrings, closer to the hip - For leg curls (Knee flexion) you can see some preferential growth down lower, closer to the knee. This was cool for me to learn recently👆🏼 Also, yes, the calf works on leg curls. The first 15° of knee flexion (Top of the curl) is performed by the gastrocnemius. The degree which at will actually grow from leg curls I do not know Hopefully this guide helps you know how squats, deadlifts, leg curls, leg extensions and calf raises actually target your leg musculature.🤝

This is great. One thing I recently learned from watching Charlie was if your a blessed short king like me, you can also target the rectus femoris on the seated leg extension machine. simply by pushing the seat to it’s furthest setting and leaning allll the way back and really getting a good stretch on those quads. You’ll find to get the full stretch you have to angle your hips outward which causes the intense mind to muscle connection with the recruits femoris. I hope this makes sense 🙏🏽

One anatomical correction: The highlight for the soleus is wrong in this video. The soleus is behind the gastrocnemius, not just below it. That red area is mostly the achilles tendon. The soleus, however, starts near the knee at the top of the fibula and extends down to the ankle.
