I've been tattooing for years. Really i believe your videos are very well put together. Very informative, and the fact that you show the techniques as you explain them is probably very helpful to those watching. It's very relieving to see someone make these videos with others in mind. Most artists are very secretive and rude about showing people things. Even through my apprenticeship I myself honestly never gained any true knowledge or understanding of the right ways to do things. Mostly learned by observing others, and trial and error. So i very much appreciate you dedicating your time to help those with the same interest!!!

Most informative tattoo videos I’ve seen to date. These are similar techniques to what I learned in the pen. Came home 8 years ago and never fully adjusted to coils. Tatted all over the world, including England, btwn RAF Lakenheath and Mildenhall. After watching your vids, I junked the coils and went back to my roots. Feels just like old times. No longer trippin over my gradients or stressing over portraits. Keep doin the damn thang homie. So many artists are stuck up and stingy w information. Your contributions are greatly appreciated. Your craftsmanship is superb.👌

Nice work and great video! at about 8:50 you mentioned using a liner with quick motions for stipple-type shading instead of using mags. I think that's a great idea for smaller areas and I'd take that up one notch by suggesting what I do, which is use a 9RS for that. It works great and helps to keep hamburgering to a minimum. Love your work!

It is very helpful, but I have one question and if you can answer me it would be great, if you have time of course, So I am a beginner, and sometimes (not all the time) when I do tattoos ( line or something black ) there are not black and bold enough. It falls off when it heals. I told my friends to come back for corection, but I want to be better. is it hand speed or smth, that I should work on more?

That slowmo effect your camera is making is caused by a combination of a fast shutter speed and the frame rate, if you slow down the shutter speed it will give the motion blur effect that our eyes see and make the video look real

Do you use always same voltage for lining and shading? or you change it? Do you change voltage when you use other colors? Do you use dettol to reflect the pattern? The tubes he uses are for cartridges. Switching needle is as easy as changing the tip on the grip they twist right off and you can twist another one in. When you do this Stiple Shading, How Fluid should you keep your ink? I mean, there are some inks that are "Thicker" or "More Pigmented" than others. So I would think the more Fluid your ink it. The better. Also, Are you using "Liners" to create this effect of "Round Shaders"? You mentioned "Using A Magnum To Smooth and Balance Out The Shading In The End"; Standard 12 Gauge Or Bugpins? And, Do You Ever Use "Textured Needles" And If So, When Do You Feel It Appropriate To Use Them? Thank 4 Any Info You Care To Share. And, By The Way, Your Work Is BeaDone. Really Nice Work Man.👍👍👍
@user-gu3ie5 жыл бұрын
Stipple shading..or "whip shading" will almost always be created with tight round liners..preferably tight 3 round liners.. if you use round shaders you dont really get the definition of the dot effect... the ink is just whatever you prefer...some use straight black for all shades of dots..some use different grey shades from dark to black...the thickness of the ink just depends on what brand you use...for example...zuperblack from intense is very thick.. and all blacks from worldfamous are very thin...both work..but zuperblack is a bitch to water down... If you do whip shading..slowing the machine done to half speed and feather in the dots.. is preferred to use a thin pigment that flows better And yes.. I'm pretty sure he uses bugins to balance his shading within the dots.. because because bugpins have a pitchfork styled needlegrouping it creates a much softer shade over the already darker dot pattern:)
@michellegraf25855 жыл бұрын
@@user-gu3ie Points well taken. I prefer Zuper for Solid Black Fill-In work like Tribal and World Famous Lining Black 4 My Line Work. Grey Wash, Just kinda varies on the design on doing. You mention the mag needles in a lot of videos. That stands for magnum eh and what makes using them more difficult than other needles?
@user-gu3ie5 жыл бұрын
Magnums are grouped differently then the normal flat or curved shaders.. the needle dont lay next to each other but somewhat like a pitchfork with space between the front and back row of needles...with the magnum needles you can create more definition in the shading..its much softer...but you also need to be careful that you dont angle the needle to much..because it can create darker needlemarks.. but overall magnums are amazing for soft shading
