I watched basically all these videos and 9 days ago I got my first puppy. After about 4/5 days she was basically toilet trained (with accidents only happening at night:purely because we were to lazy to wake up at two am to bring her out). Within the first week she learnt: 1.sit 2.stay 3.come 4down 5.paw 6.high five 7. Spin 8.roll over I am currently working on bow but I just have to say: Thankyou so much zak george and to everyone involved in this channel. It has been so amazing and has left me with the perfect pup. Getting a dog was amazing and these videos are just wow. I can't descibe how grateful and glad I am that they are here. Thankyou so much. I love his show and thisjust summarizes and lays out all of the basic methods he uses on the show. You can skip to the chapter (lesson) you want to read about. The book is arranged almost as a problem-solving guide ... Here is the problem and here is what you need to know/do to correct it. This man knows his stuff ... But more importantly knows how to teach people how they can work with their pups themselves!

With treats, my dog has learned most of the seven common commands (sit, stay, come, down, heel, off and no). Brandon's love for all animals is baked into every chapter of the book. If you have a puppy or an older dog, i would highly recommend reading every word of this book as it will be a source of pride for you and your dog.

I posted this on an older video and not sure how zealously you curate comments.Zak and Bri these are great. Would love more detail on how long you take with each of these dogs in the descriptions and how long a novice trainer should expect to spend with each concept. It would really help with setting expectations because these videos make it look almost too easy sometimes and I feel like some would be tempted to revert to old bad techniques if they don't have instantaneous zak-like success. Keep up the great work!

CanineCrazy yeah totally. Its more curiousity than anything because I'm guessing the philosophy is take as long as it needs to take to establish the pattern for doggie. I just want to know what is normal for an average dog with a skilled trainer so I can set realistic expectations (maybe double the time)

I decided to try to do "over" with my German Shepherd which I definitely wasn't expecting much considering he doesn't like jumping and like at least 3 paws on the ground so I tried and it is probably one of the easiest tricked I have tried teaching him! He is getting there! Although since I am barely under five foot and under weight I don't know how the whole arm thing will go
