How to Teach Anne of Green Gables with 7th Grade English

This is my favorite book to teach in sixth grade! I am starting it with them right after Christmas break. I always do a Saturday "Breakfast with Anne" after we finish the book where I make cinnamon rolls and bacon and things and we watch the movie. The school allows me to do this on campus and I have NEVER had one student NOT show up! I am always amazed they will come to school on a Saturday on purpose! LOL The story grabs people...what can I say? I also use the Progeny Press guide and love it! I love your ideas and will be implementing some of them this year. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you!! We read The Little Prince, Tom Sawyer, The Bronze Bow, and A Long Walk to Water. Then I have several smaller sets that we do as book clubs. And I try to do at least 1 book they choose on their own.
