Something that helped me learn the game was the teacher made sure everyone was following the steps, one at a time, without skipping over anything. They really hammered it in over the first to rounds, until we were checking each step ourselves, one at a time. Im glad he did, because I kept wanting to accidentally skip the slip stream mechanic, or some other step, without realizing it.

I have a question regarding cool down mechanic. For example, if you are constantly (every turn) in 2nd gear, does that mean you can put your one heat, card every turn, from your hand into the discard pile?

Yeah! But then you're also stuck in second gear, wouldn't it be soooooo much faster to go up a gear or two?
