Im sure you folks figured this out by now, since the video is almost year old, but at 37:00 when asked when you reveal the speed on the brakes, it's actually after you reveal the stress card first. You dont have to pick the speed as soon as you flip your card. The card plays exactly as it should thematically. (Draw a high card, hit the brakes... Draw a low card, and stay off the brakes and go fast) But fun to watch you all play. I enjoyed it a lot!

This game is so fun! Was able to get this played last weekend and it was a blast! It was taught by a super fast-talker and I didn't fully understand things until halfway through the game. 6 player game. I was in last place most of the first half, then managed to turn things around once I understood things and finished in 2nd place, 2 spaces behind first woohoo!

I was fortunate enough to find a used copy on the local marketplace for retail and in great condition. I have been loving everything about this game! Played 3 races in the first sitting with it. The Legends add an awesome element to the game to fill out the player count. I haven't played solo yet. 6 cars on the track is my favorite setup. I would argue this game is worth the resale value but I would wait for the reprint for those of you who don't have it yet. It is one of my favorite games of the past few years!

I was looking for some good plays of this game because I just picked this game up the other day and got to play it last night and it was honestly probably my favorite racing experience ever. I can't wait to play with the modules. Thanks for the awesome gameplay, top notch as always!

7:07... he does say it in fairness, but cooldowns take heat from your hand, not the discard pile (which is what he does)

I think you forgot that you can't discard Stress cards in phase 8, they have to be played... I saw them being discarded various times (at least by red and blue)

When you guys were coming up on the second turn (speed limit 3), the blue car could have used the +2 slipstream card. The red car could have also slip streamed. In both cases, slipstream does not count towards your speed value when checking corner speed limit.

That's not correct. The slipstream value (2) does not count, but it still counts as crossing the turn. And their speed was much higher than 3 excluding 2 value of slipstream.

Don't you wait until everyone is done with thier turns to draw back up to 7? The symbol on the dashboard leads me to believe it's a simultanious action. Otherwise, people that go ahead of the last player get far more time to "strategize".

I am pretty sure you didn't play it correvtly 😂 You always drawn cards before discarding. There is a discard phase before the drawing phase and then you end the turn!

Question: do u always have to take the position on the thicker line of the edge when you are first in occupying the space? Played this game with 6 players and their strategy was NOT to take the prime position when they are first in place. So they always position themselves on the less thicker edge. Just wanted to know if that’s a legal move. I

No, it is not a legal move. As stated in the rules (page 5, section 3 Reveal & Move): "Always put your car on the Spot closest to the Race Line if available."

@@begibegi8011 thank you. Thats what I thought. All playthroughs I watched it was done that way. But when we played the group did it differently. I couldn’t contest coz I wasn’t 100% sure. I don’t have my own copy yet so I haven’t read the rules.

33:42 Blue discards two cards, both of them "Stress" cards. Stress cards cannot be discarded.

I believe he was using the effect of the "body" card that he had played which allowed him to discard up to two cards that cannot normally be discarded.

Just no. Compare Heat to Formula De, CFR, Race Formula 90 or Rally Man...none of those games allow you to shoot each other, slam other cars off the road or send in attack helicopters lol.

It’s nice to see play throughs of this game but you really need to slow it down, lots of mistakes because of hurrying.

Actually Tom should have won. On his last turn he played 11 speed but only moved 10 spaces. With his boost he would have finished 1 space in front.

I don’t get the appeal folks. I struggle to see what the meaningful decisions are and where players interact. Aside of slipstreaming but that is not very exciting

Deckbuilders don't interact with each other usually. It's a race game. So you need an opponent to have a winner. And a big weekend is pushing your luck. If you don't like something like Quacks of Quedlinburg or any deck builder, then this wouldn't do much for you. Plus this is the basic game with one module. They did say there are quite a few extra modules in the box

​@RolandIronfist13 a deckbuilder is where you draft 3 semi-unique cards at the start and then never add anything else again? Also, who said deckbuilding games don't have player interaction? I agree with OP. It really just seems like luck more than strategy or skill. Hence the artificial catchup mechanism so bad luck doesn't completely hose you. Another commenter mentioned how they didn't even understand the rules until halfway into lap 2, and still managed to almost win (2nd by 2 spaces). Sounds like a great game...
