What a fantastic job you are doing teaching the phonics, so many language programs want you only to memorize words, and when that happens you cannot pronounce, spell, or look up a word in the dictionary to find a meaning. I am a native American English speaker and the way you teach is exactly as I learned it. With just even these first 12 lessons, people will greatly improve their learning abilities. Thanks so much for this, I am going to share it with my non native speakers, who as you point out on your subscription page, can read and write english easily but cannot speak it. Bravo!

Glad to hear that! Just remember that phonics is great for learning the sounds of English, but the sounds of words will change depending on the other words around them. Good luck! :)

Glad to hear it! Italy must be awesome. I'd really like to visit! Where you go from here depends on how good their level is. When you show a mixture of words with different phonics combinations in them, can the kids read the words? Beyond the phonics in this series, there are LOTS of smaller exceptions that just need to be practiced and seen in their natural habitat (books). Have them start reading for their level and let me know if you have any questions. Good luck! :)

I also watched quite a few of your videos for adults and the ones you are teaching your daughter. I agreed to teach a friends Tibetan/French daughter english, she is 5. She is fluent in several Tibetan dialects, and french hahahahaha she is way ahead of me. But, as much English and writing classes in college I had, I think this project is going to teach me the most both for french, and in teaching her english. I agree with your idea about motivation, I have learning problems in my brain from auto-immune diseases. I learn so very slow in the french methods of trying to memorize, so since I must communicate in french at the same 5 yr old, level, and in english, I think we will both grow in french and english together using your methods. I like your idea of just needing to stay ahead of her. That seems very doable, since I need to work in my long term memory rather than do the impossible memorization. I have not had so much hope until now, but, I could not possibly let down a child. So, I will be rethinking the way I teach myself french. The way I see it, we are not learning a new language, we will just be adding more words to say the same things. After all the Eskimos have 50 words for snow!

It is very good that I found this lessons. Lessons since 1 until 12, I will certainly look several times. These are good one for repetition. I don't know many things. I learned English language very quickly. Do you believe? These lessons are helping me now. I have to carefully to write and read Italian words, where a combination of vowels and consonants requires a different pronunciation. Grazie. M.(H) A
