Awe, what a sweet little guy!! I just ordered everything I'm going to need in order to get a budgie. It should all be here within a week. I can hardly wait! I haven't had a budgie since I was a just a kid. I had 2 when I was about 12 or 13. Now, several decades later, I have been having the urge to get another one! This time I will just have one and devote a lot of time with him (hopefully, I'll pick a boy and not accidently get the sex of the bird wrong, LOL). I'm hoping I'll get cute and smart little guy like yours! I'm super excited and a little bit nervous RE: the taming process. I hope it'll be quick and painless for him. I'm also hoping to be able to potty training him. That'll be before I really start working on the talking. Although, I can probably do both at the same time! Can't wait! Thanks for your videos!

So exciting. Glad you are just getting one! I always have just one bird. It really helps create a bond. Remember! If it has forehead stripes (less than 3-4 months old) Blue nose/cere = GIRL, Pink = BOY. If it has no stripes on its forehead (older than 3-4 months) Blue = BOY, Pink = GIRL. Hope that helps! Lots of people pick a blue cere on a young bird and its a girl. (though sex doesnt really matter because they are all amazing!!!)

I had a budgie once. She was called Charlie. Sadly she died young. She got a tumour on her eye and the vet said he could operate but he didn’t think she’d survive. I sat in the consultation room with the vet and my sister for a bit deciding the right thing for her. I had to let her go. RIP Charlie girl. I’d love another budgie but mum won’t let me currently.

Hello to you i"have 2"parakeets i"had no idea they could be taught to talk but now that i"know this i"m going to start sometime today to get the process going the girl bird stays in place when me or my daughter goes anywhere around the cage buy the boy bird flies away from us everytime its going to be an adventure to teach them to start saying phrases i"m going to be so excited to hear any words that would come from either one of them plus your bird is so adorable the color of mine is yellow and light blue.do you have any suggestions of how many times aweek should i"practice with them since your so good at teaching yours and thanks for sharing your videos with us.

I picked a few 2-3 word phrases and I just say them when appropriate - like good boy when he is good, or whatcha doin when he flys over to me. I say them about 10 times a day at least. Have fun! 💕
