I have a Keyboard background, I learned Standing Tuning (E-A-D-G-B-E) from the Fredrick Noad book, then I figured out where Middle "C" was on the 6th "E" string and figured my way from there. My first Chord Progression was the I-IV-V Blues Progression from playing the Tritone between Two adjacent Strings (your "IV" is one position below the "I," the "V" is One Position Above), which works for a "Freddie Green" version of Rhythm Guitar on Blues Changes..

I have been playing guitar since the mid to late 1960's. I taught myself and only worked on learning songs I liked and played from books. Whether it was true to the group or not. I pretty much stopped when I had a family. I have picked it up again in the last year and a half to two years. I am know working on Music Theory, perfecting cords, and Fret knowledge. This topic could not have come at a better time. Thank you for your insight as to how to manage practice.

I first started learning guitar using online course. Four months into the course I left the course and started taking lessons from in-flesh teacher. Having someone who guides you and corrects your mistakes and gives you exercises that address your specific problems has been really-really helpful. Can't stress this enough. I love your videos and your vibe. Greetings from Estonia.
