I love how you give credit to Adam not many pro drivers would ever say ‘I like what my competitor is doing I tried it and like it. This is just another reason why your the total package. Stay humble, and keep on keepin on.

Great video Ryan. You helped me with my RX8 settings at the X-RAY challenge. My laps times, consistency, motor temps, and tire wear all improved. Thanks again.

Yes! More videos on your E cars. There’s not enough pro information on them. Are your settings the same in your ETruggy?
@RyanLutz Жыл бұрын
Basically except as mentioned in the video I run torque level of 4 or 5 in truck. I also use a little more drag brake usually. Around 12-15.

Hey Ryan, frequency is pulses per second usually , so the higher the number the more pulses in a second. The less pulses, the more aggressive throttle will feel because it stays for a bit longer on max voltage and low voltage… unless that number means something else👍 i can go in more detail for PWM but maybe that is not what the number in the tekin electronics means.✌️

Thank you for the education! I very well could be wrong on the explanation, but at least on the on track feeling I know I explained that correctly. But I did think that's what I remember from the Tekin video on Frequency.

Great explanation for those of us that needed a run down of the ESC settings. I run that same motor/esc setup in my buggy and will give your recommendations a try. For my truggy with 2000kv, other than going down to 4 or 5 for torque is there anything else you recommend adjusting?
@RyanLutz Жыл бұрын
I sometimes run a little more drag brake in truggy around 12-15. Everything else basically the same. 👍🏼

Awesome video. Thank you! I'm just getting back into it after taking 3 years off. I have a 10px As well. Could you give me a base idea as far as throttle settings? I'm used to drag racing settings, but I know they will be a bit different for this. Thanks again
@RyanLutz Жыл бұрын
On the radio i generally leave the throttle at 100epa. I do all throttle settings in the speedo which are shown in the video.

Ryan, thank you for this, I put this setup on the buggy at Thornhill this last weekend and it was a nice improvement for sure. Where would I go from here to get more burst over a triple out of a 180? Felt like I needed a bit more run up, having to go a little wide to set up for them. Guys running larger KV motors could get that pop while hugging the corner. Maybe just asking to much out of a 1900 or is there more to be had in that respect? Thanks!
@RyanLutz Жыл бұрын
Up on the torque level and or lower on the throttle frequency will both help in that regard.

How much different are your eTruggy settings from the buggy? I find it hard to find some good info on truggy settings online.
@RyanLutz Жыл бұрын
Not too much. Similar principle. Only difference really is torque level around 4-5.

What temps are you getting at the end of a 10 min main?
@RyanLutz Жыл бұрын
With normal setup and it can vary by track and ambient temperatures I can be anywhere from 150-200 on motor and 120 or so on speedo. I drive pretty hard though and again lots of variability from event to event.
