How many of these signs can you relate to? Are any of them much more obvious than others?

Take potassium twice a day and you won't have salt stains anymore. You lose potassium in your sweat too... and if you're low on potassium you become hyper sensitive to salt and end up with salt stains. I sweat even if I'm not working out, and if I sweat a lot (which I usually do), I'll have to change my shirt because of all the salt stains. I started taking 300mg of daily potassium supplements and my salt stains went away in a day. Now I can soak my shirt with sweat during a heavy work out, and there are no salt stains when it dries. Also, my blood pressure dropped 20 points to 109/68.

Great video James. This is all totally relatable - thanks for the advice. Is sweating a lot too a sign of being well adapted for exertion?

Partly, yes! As sweating is a mechanism for cooling us down, naturally as you work harder you'll sweat more to counteract the heat you produce. But that could also be indicative of fitness levels too - if you're sweating a lot at lower intensity it could mean your body is finding it harder than you think. However some people just naturally sweat more, and that's just one of those things!

Hey James , i got grade 2 muscle tear between my soleus and tibial posterior muscles, it has been 4 days but i still can't take one step on my foot . Do you know someone around you who experienced this type of injury. Doctor said it will take 3 months to start running again :( drink broth everyday i hope it will help healing faster

Hey Okan. Sorry to hear this! :( I don't know anyone who has had this specific type of injury. But I would say two things in terms of recovery. 1) if you have already been given specific rehab exercises then great, if not, go to a physiotherapist to get a proper rehab plan and follow it. Don't try to return to running earlier than they suggest - it's not worth it. 2) try to balance your calorie intake so you maintain your weight, and importantly try not to lose weight. It's often inevitable during injury periods, but minimising the amount of weight you lose (and muscle) is helpful for recovery. Unless you have a health reason not to, a protein intake of between 1.5g/kg of bodyweight to 2.0g/kg of bodyweight is helpful for maintaining muscle mass during an injury period.
