We had a ferret who is now around 6 years old for a couple years, and she was alone for a while. She seemed perfectly happy until she got sick recently so we got her a friend once she was doing better, but the issue is that our new ferret is only about 5 months old and is a LOT more energetic, so when they're together I'm concerned that our newer one will hurt our older one. This definitely made me a bit less scared since I know how to identify their behaviors better, so thank you!!

I guess I got pretty lucky!! My boy Remi was almost 2 when I got my 2nd boy Ruger at 4 months back in September and they were sleeping together within a week.. Definitely are brothers now. They get into their little spats here and there still better than the first month for sure.

Also your story about oscar grooming oliver (or if im wrong..vice versa) brought smiles and wet eyes for sure, especially because I lost a pet named bear as well right before I got my 1st ferret.. but those really are such precious moments, the first time my ferrets slept together it made me so happy.

I’m so happy you didn’t have to go through the fighting. It’s so stressful, but it’s so awesome and emotional when they finally start getting along and you can see their bond forming. One of my favorite things is seeing their individual relationships with each other. It’s just so fascinating and sweet to watch.

Thank you! I got the gate from Amazon. It’s made by Marshall’s, it’s called the Marshalls Better View Gate. I included a link if that’s easier! amzn.to/3NWAHh7 I actually have two of these gates and I love them. It’s the only gate I’ve found so far that my babies can’t get over under it through 😂. And I love that you can see through it.

I have a two year old female ferret I just adopt two more ferret a male who’s three years old and a female who is 3months old how do I introduce them to my two year old ferret .. My female ferrets is not happy about it .. can u give me some tips
