How do I know when a major adjustment is necessary?

brakes pedal goes super low and when the minor brake adj doesnt do much, i usually adjust the major brake adjustment first then a minor adjustment, .10 thou on top and bottom and youll be set.

Mine did that when the airpack had a leak at the plunger.

That can happen, but it will either be slightly spongy, push fluid out the vent tube, or both.
