it needs AC Charging, am I right? and is your USB hub providing the AC to your controller coz its converting DC to AC from your IPad? just make my concept clear?

My ps4 controller turns the orange light after I plug it in for like 5 seconds than it turns it off, if I press anything nothing happens, no light nothingg , if i repeat the process the same thing happens. What could it be ? How can I fix it ?

@@G_complex So I haven't fixed it yet but I did find out what the problem was for my controller, I connected the controller to my laptop and it will recognise it as a controller where if you select properties you can test the controllers, press the buttons and some lights on the screen will indicate if the buttons work or not. Turns out the playstation button and the X button where not working on my controller, so yeah without the ps button my controller does not turn on and I can not connect it, I opened it to clean it on the contact points of the buttons but it did not really work, so maybe try this out and check if any of the buttons don't work

My ps4 controller charges like this… it fades bright then immediately turns off and repeats… before it use to do this… fade bright to fading dim and off then repeat… is there a reason why it does this?

Your controller might be damaged already, has someone dropped it in the past?

@@DotnetistEnterprise it’s fell a few times in the past yes and it is over three to four years old now and I often have to tilt the cord slightly upwards when charging it (edit: I placed it in my multi controller + PSVR wand charging port… it works there properly like it does the fading in and fading out light) except the cord alone

My 1st controller is also blinking orange then turns off and repeat. But they said I need to change its battery. Or some parts is needed to replace it
