Another difference is the ocg ultimate rare has the monster reflective, smooth, and raised with the background artwork being slightly textured. The ocg collector's rare has the monster, artwork, and edges textured while the remainder of the card is holographic. Imo the collector's rare is the nicer one

That is extremely weird and i encourage you to check again there is an average of 4 ultimate and 4 collector per box (as well as 3 25th anniversary and 3 Platinum) in the 4 displays i opened

I did get all the collectors, and I opened some more packs, and I pulled collectors. I thought the ratio had to have 4 Ultimates and 4 collectors. But I didn't get Ultimates, but on one box, I got 9 collectors instead of 8.

The quarter century rare looks way less shiny than that irl ,was real disappointed when my herald came. The 'ultimate rare' is also just not ultimate rare at all ,the texture is gone lol

I like the Collectors Rare the most overall. Most of the Ultimate Rares look like garbage but it looks really nice on Synchro and XYZ cards.

I loooove the QCR but tbh the only thing I don't like is the 25th embossing in the text box. I mean I have yet to see one in person but it just seems obtrusive and unnecessary, I'd rather they print it somewhere else and smaller

I've yet to see one of these in person, but for cards like Masked Hero Dark Law does the ultimate rare foiling look the same or is it distinctively different from it's OTS pack print?

I feel like the OTS´s are more textured in their artworks and pop more and have their card borders also in this textured style. The new Prismatic Ultis have a glossy finish on their monsters or foreground artworks for spell/traps (similar to the Premium Gold finish). Because of that I think they don´t pop like the OTS ones. They also have this "3D-like sprinkles of spray paint" on the parts that aren´t artwork so they look kinda metallic. You need to see some in person to get a better understanding but I hope I could help. :)

Thank you for this. I have a copy of Pre-Prep and a copy of Ice Barrier, both of which have the "triangle" bordering you mentioned. Both cards have "sparkles" or holographic dots all over the green and red background outside of the artwork and textboxes. Can anyone confirm which rarity these are, please?

I'm more pissed with the URs in the usual displays costing 20/40€ and needing to have 3 of each with simply no other rarity as an alternative like Purrely or Big welcome labrynth. If people want to spend thousands of dollars for shiny cards no problems, but make a cheap common rarity alternative !! Thats just messed up and stop poorer people to play the game. Literaly pay to win.

How is something produced to be rare, but is still considered rare? Will say, all my cards are from 90s to early 2000s. Not graded. Just sitting in a box for last +20 years. Crazy to see some are worth over 5k

Those are based on conditional rarity, I highly doubt your old cards are in gem mint condition to get $5k.
