HOW TO TEMPORARILY DISABLE THE DASHBOARD WARNING ALARM ON ANY INTERNATIONAL TRUCK OR IC BUS

Yep, another random video. This time I managed to get a service parking brake light on one of the buses in my fleet. Thankfully I drive a 2020 Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2 and not this. Bus is a 2013 IC CE 300 and the service parking brake light turned on because of cycling the parking brake on, then off, then on again and then quickly turning the ignition off then back on. Cycling the ignition again would clear the fault, but it made for the perfect opportunity to make a video on how to silence the alarm with the engine off.

I do this a lot when I have to use the accessories and my air is pumped down The beeper can get annoying lol Anyways…do you know if there is any way to clear an active code? I have an EGT3 Exhaust Temperature Sensor fault…and after I replace the sensor the fault is still going to be there and preventing my bus from doing a parked regen…I will not be paying a $700 subscription for NED software…which is the only software compatible with MaxxForce engines

Unfortunately I don't know if it is possible to clear codes without a computer. Your best bet will be taking it to a workshop. My other recommendation would be deleting the DPF.

@@ThatOneLT1 I'm just saying, and this is only my opinion, but DPFs are stupid. Yes they prevent black smoke from being spewed from the exhaust, but if something goes wrong with it say for instance it starts to decompose, then black smoke WILL get through and it can cost thousands just for a new one. Not to mention for some reason, at least on the earlier DPF diesels (I'm not sure if this still applies to current ones), diesel can get into the oil and dilute it as a result of it going into normal regeneration. That is a fatal design flaw and as a result, lubrication is compromised. The EPA unfortunately doesn't care about all of the drawbacks of these filters and only wants to rob people of their money just for DPF deletes yet arguments can be made saying marine ships burn lots more diesel unfiltered and emit the same pollutants. It all really doesn't make sense if you think about it. Anyway, as for the EGT3 code, I only thought that did have to do with the particulate filter because you mentioned you are unable to do a parked regen. Like I said, if you don't have the software and don't have plans to get it, visit a workshop as soon as you can so that filter won't become blocked. I'm sorry you're dealing with this not too long after acquiring your bus.

It's a stupid setup Any MIL code will prevent a regeneration... While it doesn't directly have anything to do with the function itself other than tell the computer when the exhaust is getting warm My state does annual safety inspections and the DPF has to be there and functional or they cancel your registration The EGT3 is a common issue on these...it's not too expensive nor is it problematic Navistar just likes to screw the customer and make it so only they can repair it Other than that the bus is great, like I've said before the older DTs 2009-2010 are the best and will last forever

This does not work on 99.9% of internationals. It only works on this specific instrument cluster dash. Most Internationals use the LT dash which is 100% digital and does not have the toggles or buttons your pushing. (For example the tagometor reset for the milage)
