One of the few video's that informs you of putting the cable booth before terminating the cable. And shows you how to put on the load bar in combination with UTP connector. Compliment!

it crushed the connector because you're using the wrong crimping tool for shielded connectors
@dbsa86814 жыл бұрын
You are right. Also, one can remove the "tooth" that crushes connector from pliers. In some pliera models it just unscrews.

Lol, the title should be "how not to terminate shielded cat6"

@@dbsa8681 I literally just had a sales person from serveredge who sell cat 6a plugs tell me I can use a standard cat 6 crimper. Wish I could of sent them this video. Or maybe they know something I don’t. My boss told me to buy it anyway so I’ll see how it goes.

My electrician friend can terminate a Cat6A cable in 2-3 minutes each. I tried one today, and it was a 30 minute learning curve!

Thank you, good and simple instructions on how to do this.

You should use a crimping tool for cat6a CAT7, but you used one for cat5e CAT6... That's why you crushed...

Hello, one strange scenario. Cables from one side ends to a Patch panel cat6 and on the other side are rj45 connectors. Using the tester, all pins are ok but when connecting with computer, again everything works but some links are 100mbits and some other 1gbs. What can be the issue?

What plugs did you buy? I have seen a bunch but they all have mixed reviews

shouldn't each of the twisted pairs be shielded to be cat 6a?

That sir, would be a FTP cable. (Foiled Twisted Pair) This is an STP. (Shielded Twisted Pair)

Hello, In Testing Meter what G suggest? I think it is for shielded connectivity. What if i am having shielded cables and Ground is not blinking while testing? Still shield will work to protect from EMC noise? Please comment...
@janorolin86222 жыл бұрын
Very good question. I am very curious as well for the answer. I also read from comments that there should be grounded only one side of the shielded cable not both sides. Is it true? Can anybody confirm this? It is very confusing this "Ground" topic around ethernet cabling and how to properly crimp shielded Cat6a cables. BTW. my crimp tool crushed the connector the same way as yours.

this is not a shielded cable, the metal wire is used to split the cable

Not the ideal way to do Cat6a RJ45 terminations. It'll work but you wouldn't be doing that in an industrial setting.

Chris. Be patient my man. We all struggle with this terrible design. Don't force the wires into the connector. Take the time to get them all lined up nice and cute and in a row. Sometimes wiggling the connector as you push helps.
