Today I'm testing out a new limited palette of colours so I thought I'd share one of my 5 MINUTE ABSTRACT LANDSCAPE exercises with you, the perfect way to see how the colours work together, how they mix and bland wet in wet.
Try something similar yourself with your favourite colours and brushes, it a great way to find out what watercolour can do, and to discover unique colour combinations.

Wow, it may have been just an experiment for you, but this is where I want to go with my watercolors, free and loose but still a suggestion of a landscape. If yours are framed they will all be beautiful paintings in itself.

It's incredible to see random strokes of the brush, once finished look like abstract landscape art works!! Love the way you journal your experiments too. I enjoyed seeing how the W&N venetian red came up. I hope you show us the next time you are 'testing' another limited colour palette combo 🤩
