How to test Accumax Solenoids while still in the lowrider

In this video i show you guys how to test the solenoids while they are still in the ride. As a PRECAUTION disconnect the wire that goes to the pump from the solenoids. One thing i did forget to mention is if you come across a bad solenoid then you can't test the next solenoid unless you disconnect the wire from the solenoids that comes from the batteries and place it on the coupling/wire thats connected to the next solenoid that your trying to test.

Yeah I use my volt meter to test mine. I was having someone help me or just use my hopping switch also. I have 6 solenoids on my front 10 batteries and 2 back pumps I use 3 on each pump. Useful information to help everyone out.

Hello need help hope u can answer I got a 2 pump replaced one motor and 6 new batteries front goes up but when I hit back it’s just like a hissing sound I noticed me wires are Burnt on the solenoid could that be the issue what size u use for the solenoid thank you

joseangelmsanchez For 8 batteries i would use 5 solenoids, the way it works is 1 solenoid per 2 batteries and i add 1 extra for protection. Ive never burnt up solenoids before doing it this way.

Hey bro, first off thanks for the videos.... second, what would cause a solenoid to get stuck? When I hit the switch, the car sometimes goes up, sometimes it doesn't but you can hear the click and then bam it gets stuck raising...I have to pull the quick disconnect. Could it be the switch or would you guess a bad solenoid? Thanks bro!

One more thing I forgot to mention, it's a lay and play setup ( 2 pumps, 8 batts, 4 solenoids), I tested the solenoids like you showed and they all lit up....I switched the power wire from the pump that was getting stuck to the other pump and it made that pump get stuck....🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

@@Toe_Knee_Silva seems like you have a bad battery, how many times have you swapped out the solenoids because of that issue? If the wires or couplings that hold the solenoids together are lose they will arc and go bad, if they are not properly grounded and tightened down they will go bad, if theres 1 bad battery they will go bad as well. Hopefully that helps. As long as your switch doesn't stick then I dont think it's the switch. It wont hurt to change it out if your able to just to rule it out if you have the extra funds.

I replaced individual switches do to them sticking but continues to stick when raising the car so I’m beginning to think it’s my solenoids, Can this be?The reason I’m unsure is because In the past when I’ve had solenoid issues they click but car won’t move, now not so obvious since the switch works until it locks and burns my pump, any help?

Romio Romero When u hear a click that means one solenoid is bad. When they stick usually the whole bank of solenoids are bad. U can always test them individually.

They can be placed in any way, I recommend not placing them on top of the batteries.

The problem with testing your solenoids like that is say number 2 solenoid is broken it will not let power go through so you can test 3 4 and 5

You can use jumper cables to by pass the solenoids or if your cable is long enough disconnect it from the solenoids and touch it to the motor, don't leave it on the motor. Sam witth the cables, don't leave them on, just tap it till it's to the hight you need it at, only use 12v to get it up. 24v is ok to use.

@@rudygonzales1021 no, as long as your just tap the cable onto the motor stud your good to get it as high as you want your good. Have someone hold the trunk so it doesn't slam on your head or your back, it'll hurt.

You may need to rewire the switches or something is not getting any power, check all of your connections

You can run 3 solenoids for the front and 2 solenoids for the rear if ur running only 2 batteries to the rear pump, but if u want to run all four per pump, then u will need 3 solenoid per pump. You can run just 2 each but its safer with 3 solenoids on each pump on a 4 battery set up.
