Hello, thx for the nice video. Could i have issue if the external cover is not properly seal of it is just the seal inside that mathers?

Do you mean the belt cover? In that case I have found the plastic can warp from heat resulting in it not sealing. I replaced mine as otherwise I would get a good deal of debris in there which would affect the belt performance. It's the seals on the crankshaft that really matter as without those (the one's I replace in this video) you'll have an air leak that could lean out and ruin a motor.

I've got a 300 that I'm sealing up and came across this video in search of a gasket. I have my crankcase split and am having trouble finding a gasket for it. Do you know where I could find one or have a recommendation as far as a gasket in a tube? Ritter is not an option for me so anywhere else please if ya would

The crank gaskets? Grab the part number off a place like rockymountainatv.com by searching under oem. Once you have the part number and put it into Google you’ll find a bunch of places to get them. I know Amazon and EBay also have them.

Could this be the cause of spontaneous full throttle condition ?

Yes, an air leak can make your two stroke rev to the moon like a runaway. Kills compression making starting and running tough but the lean condition can/will wreck a motor.

How much were those seals? I can't find them on his website. Only in the top end rebuild kit.

It was super reasonable. I had to reach out to him directly via email and he dropped them in the mail the next day. Ended up talking on the phone about the different seal types as well. I learned a lot talking to him.

Can u tell me were I can buy the leak down tester and the exhaust cover plate?

I was able to get it from HPMPowerSports.com. You might have to shoot an email over to get the kit you need but if you do tell them James at Vermont Life sent you. They have helped me a ton.

@@VermontLife one more question yours wasn’t starting before you remplace the seals right? And what’s the size of the bolt you used to remove the clutch ?

And yes, it wasn't starting. The compression was low and it failed a leakdown test around both crank seals.

If the seals are leaking, shouldn't there be oil there? On my Polaris Trailblazer 250, the starter motor failed, and when I took it apart, there was some oil in it. So I suspect that the seal is damaged, despite the engine running well. Hug from Portugal

If theses oil I would think it’s really leaking. If you’re in a position to do so I’d say to do a leak down test as that will really help give you an idea of how bad one seal or both are. Best of luck on your repair over there in Portugal and thanks for the shout out.
