Do you think that my high pressure pump going bad could cause some metal dust in the diesel filter?I dont have separate pump for diesel, only high pressure pump.My volvo is 2.0D so its not Volvo's own engine type, but its from PSA that makes ford, citroen peugeot etc.And im wondering where the hck does this weird dust come in to the filter, today my car stalled and shut down, but i got it on again and drove home.Diagnostic at the repair shop says its has time to time low fuel pressure.But for example no problem in idle RPM's.Im starting to think i need to buy new high pressure pump, wich cost half of the cars worth.1500euro +mechanics work.

Metal dust can actually come from the pump and also from the fuel tank. I recommend that you buy a used pump that has been disassembled or disassembled by the car, a pump that has been driven less than 200,000 km and install it yourself. For example, in MB car engines, the replacement work is quite easy in 2.2 Diesel engines. And I recommend you to change your car to Toyota Avensis 2.2 or 2.2 Diesel or MB 200 D car.

Thanks alot, i will consider the Avensis option since im a huge fan of toytota, and we already have Hilux, Yaris and Rav4.Im buying one that has been driven for 340 000km, but it only cost 250, im trying to make a bargain of 200euros.Have a good spring time from Finland.@@PeterFinnTheCarDoctor
