Thank you - this was the third video I watched on how to draw blood from your goat for testing, and the only one that gave information about which lab they used, showed how to fill out the paperwork, and demo'd wrapping and packing the vials for shipping. Usually they just show how to shave and find the vein. I feel much more confident now.

@ThePfam049 ай бұрын
Thank you for this! The vet wants $20 for each individual disease test. It makes it very cost prohibitive. I was a registered nurse at one time but it’s been a minute (10+) since I drew blood on a person, let alone an animal. This video eased my nerves lol.

How long are the vials good for? You said to be sure they were not out of date, and I have only 2 goats! 100 vials will take a LOOONG time to use up! Thank you for creating this video, what seemed overwhelming now looks like can be done by myself and my wife. I’m looking at labs now and will be sending in some samples. I’ve had one dairy goat for several years and have never tested.. at all. I recently starting looking to ad another goat to our heard and kept seeing the CAE and CL terminology used a lot, after looking those two up extensively, i landed on your video. I now understand how bad cae cl and Johnes can be for the goats but should we stop drinking milk from our goat until we receive results? Just wondering if consumption is still safe, We are a family of four that consumes our goats milk daily.

It is hard to do so many goats or it is still easy to manage? And do you have a real maximum for your goats So I mean how many is your max?
