Indeed helpful. I will certainly use this on certain errors. You can probably use a 9 volt battery to power the sensor on the field.

Great video man but have a question i want to use the inverter direct drive motor in on /off way not on washing machine do i need to use the hall sensor and why they use the hall sensor in the DD motor?
@jerrysmith3724 жыл бұрын
I'm repurposing a drive motor for another use. My BLDC controller (manual is in Chinese) has H+, H-, HU, Hv, HW for hall sensor input. Can I use the factory hall sensor for my controller or do I need 3 separate sensors? I have sensors if need be, but the factory sensor would be a cleaner looking install. How would you recommend wiring up the factory sensor?

Question, can the sensor accept more than 10 volts? Can the voltage be from 10 to 15 volts? Will that voltage damage it?
@jerrygarcia77472 жыл бұрын
And to test the bad part, what will the reading show? you tested a new one correct & do i need a power supply to test it? I get OL with the new & old part.

Thank you for this Video, especially the Test part, I tested my LG sensor with the Voltmeter, the readings are OK, but the Washing Machine still cannot spin. Can I have a faulty sensor with correct readings???
@washerdryeradvicechannel80412 жыл бұрын
Noop if you follow the hall procedure. More likely your inverter will be damaged.

i have a samsung with 4 connector why is it only two hall and not three isnt it a three phase motor so what trigger the third one?
@paramountrepair31297 жыл бұрын
kevin pounal Hey Kevin, Im not sure if I understand your question. But the Hall effect sensor is only used to detect the movement of the stator of the washer.

I hate two questions why is only 10 VDC? And your power supply could be set to both A/C and D/C ?
@paramountrepair31295 жыл бұрын
10 volts is what the sensor operates at, and no. It’s a dc power supply only.

What are the symptoms of a faulty position sensor on the washer?
@paramountrepair31295 жыл бұрын
Shane Cody, you might have rpm faults. But do continuity test between the board and the sensor. Broken wires are common.

@@mathieubrouillette5835 so I tested all of them and then ordered a used one. The one I got tested nearly the same and of course didn’t fix the issue. Turned out my issue was a bad capacitor

It is not clear unless I missed something. To start with before you approached the hall with the magnet, obviously it showed voltage ( rooughly 10 volts). Then when you approached the magnet against the hall, it erased the voltage. This is meaningless. By default there should be no voltage to my understanding. It is the presence of the magnet that should separate the charges in the sensor and cause voltage to appear. And up on second approach it should erase it. So there are three states or so it appears. 1. No magnet present ( should imply off state) Because there can only be two states. Either off or on. 2. magnet present ( on state) 3. Magnet present again. return the hall back to the first state ( off state)
