Hello, I have a SMD Zener Diode that's shorted. I need to replace it, but I don't know the voltage. I can't find any markings on it. Any suggestions on finding the voltage? I can't remove it to test as the diode is dead.

Actually I think the best bet without schematics is to find a board similar to 2hat you have , I honestly can't think of any other way.

Hi there, Zener diode is used to stabilize the current and the black diode is used for protection and rectification, So you can not do that. Zener diode must be replaced by zener diode.

What if i got reading both side? when i dismentle diod from board just got reading one side..but when i instal on board i got both side reading..can u explain why?

You have a capacitor or another component in the circuit along with the diode. This is why it's always best to pull the diode and test.
