Thanks a ton! My discharge hose frose up today because my breaker popped on the pump. I did a similar thing but used a cooler then threaded a air line fitted into the drain of the cooler and ran a 1/4 synflex line, fill the cooler with hot water and used on the discharge hose. Wow this works sooooo good Saved me a bunch of money not calling a steam truck

@@maxxus5572 Good to hear this method worked well for you. Using the cooler was a good move, it would keep the water hotter. This year I put in a 20’ submersible electric heat trace. Tired of the poop roulette.

Thank you for this! Mine froze up this morning in -40. Woke up to the alarm going off at 4:30 in the morning. Instead of the bucket I used a Gatorade water jug and an aquarium pump on a piece of fuel hose. Was froze up to about 8ft in but had it thawed out in about half an hour. Just what I wanted to do at 6 in the morning in the dark with a -50 wind chill.

Are you dumping raw sewer out onto the ground?

Do you live in a city? In rural areas your house empties into a septic tank, In the tank their is a weir, solids digest and settle on one side, the excess water flows over the wall into the other side of the tank. When the side holding the separated water fills an automated pump pumps it out on one side of the property. To be permitted to do this you need at least 10acres of land. If you have a city style acreage with a giant house and 1 acre, you must install a leech field because your neighbour’s are so close, or you may have to constantly have it trucked out. Cows poop right on the ground, the difference is the concentration in one area.
