This is amazing, I haven't seen too many karate schools share hooks. I know a kempo practitioner and they have this hand book filled with philosophy that keeps them humble to every style even though they retain their original stance. I already feel that this will be the best martial arts resource on the internet after a few years of developing its library. Your open mindedness and entertaining ability to teach confirm this feeling. I'm grateful to be a student

I trained Kenpo hard for almost two years at one point. I have to say that their focus on functional hand strikes was impressive. I've mentioned before on how much I respect Thompson in the ring, but I love how he is willing to share what he has learned with the world as a martial artist.

Excellent step-in hook, I like how he’s almost hopping a bit to his left as he does it. It’s very subtle, but it would be great to throw it like that in an open stance scenario. [against a southpaw or if you’re southpaw throwing it against an orthodox but hopping a bit to your right]

video is good I almost skipped over bc i know I have good lead left hook since I practice orthadox but what u did help was with my moving forward lead hook I would use it more on the inside and not to much power from not having it in close (I'm a shorter guy so I don't have that reach for a hook so I always drilled it on the inside not really using it to move forward or covering distance) and my elbows weren't straight which now as soon as I get home I'm practicing this on my bag!
