You boxing orthodox lad? I stood southpaw my entire life whenever I "got into a fight" and thought my left arm was just something I could never use. Been boxing relatively seriously for about a year now and on day one of joining a beginner class I stood in orthodox and BOOM I've been a left hook specialist(it's the only punch I've mastered) ever since

I'm really enjoying your content, Tony!. I've been watching loads of your videos picking up bits and pieces to bring to my own game. This one in particular about developing that powerful hook to the body is what I want to work on. The only issue is that I often jar my thumb area. I'm not even sure how this is happening, most likely I'm not hitting the bag flush and maybe my wrist is crooked when landing it, but it doesn't happen to my right hooks, and so it's a major confidence issue I have now using my left hand.
