I have very thick and wavy hair and this tutorial really helped. My hair was giving me headaches from being so thick and heavy. I followed the advice and mostly just snipped the ends of my hair and still ended up taking off about a softball size of hair. I am happy to say that now I have a normal person's thick set of hair lol

Apparently, the barber I went to thought I have really thick hair because he just went to town on me with thinning shears and a thinning razor....It looks ok but I'm worried it's going to look bad growing out?
@djockom3 жыл бұрын
Can someone help me out? I'm growing my hair out since last December and it's pretty thick and long now. I was going for a layered mullet or modern mullet but I kept growing it out. Now, when I wash my hair, after 3/4 days, it looks puffy and really and I mean really big, like I am wearing a shubara( russian winter cap) on top of my head. Most of the times it just falls down but it's really a 50/50. I can't control it because it's so thick and massive and I want to ask someone before I go to hair stylist, what should I do? What should I ask my barber/hair stylist, etc... Also, my hair is really layered.
@frankieverona53533 жыл бұрын
do you have wavy-curly hair? If so thinning with shears is not what i recommend. If it is curly-wavy make sure to use products that contain lots of moisture. same of straight hair but not as much as too much moisture will cause issues and make it look greasy and waxy.

@gustavodavid24012 жыл бұрын
I still cant understand what he means with "heavy hair"
@naomitaylor929 Жыл бұрын
I can see how this works on that particular hair type cuz it's already flipping out,and easy to blend, but what about hair that is super dense heavy to the point it's pin straight, weighed down flat. Cuz my boys want to keep some hair now, but dont have ANY curl or wave whatsoever, neither one wants fades anymore. So I've been experimenting with medium short men's cuts without clippers! When I went to school we paid for school, thinning shears of course came with our tools, but not one of my teachers showed us how to use them because they didn't believe in them lol they tends to create a lot of flyaways and I'll believe they do more harm than good 😒 especially if you don't learn to use them correctly. I thought that's why we're at school to learn to use them correctly but 4 teachers agreed on this😂 from where I'm sitting it seems to be working fine for this mannequin you've picked. So what should I do to lessen the bulk and keep it tidy without it looking boxy I want to get a nice blend, a lot of the work I do with my scissors like point cutting but it takes forever 😅 cuz on flat hair especially when it's dry leaves it looking very uneven and choppy all over the last time I tried thinning shears. Plus they have very light brownish blonde hair so every cut showed, it didn't blend seamlessly. Doesn't seem to show on dark hair 😬🤪
